Barnes and Noble is a fine bookstore. I like to browse the aisles there and love the fact that they've got comfy couches and good coffee in the store. It's a great experience. The reason it works is that the folks from B&N realized that buying books ...

Pros: Usually great selection, prices are reasonable and cheaper with Reader's Advantage program Cons: Sometimes tracking info. not up to date
UPDATED Feb. 8, 2003
Barnes & Noble is still our families favorite bookstore, after all this time. Tonight my husband plunked down about $115 for various books. However, if we did not still belong to the Reader's Advantage program it would...

Pros: comprehensive database, easy to order Cons: you only get half your order, and bad customer service
My Mistake
Last semester I made the mistake of ordering my textbooks through BarnesAndNoble.com. I had never really had problems with online stores before. I had placed many orders through amazon.com before and never had any problems....

Shopping at Barnes & Noble.com is pretty easy, at least to me. I buy/trade and read a lot of books. Mostly True Crime, but there are reference books, romance, and some fiction that I'll pick up to read also.
Navigating the site is easy. I...

This was my fourth experience with Barnes and Noble.com and first in over a year. While my first three purchases went well, this most recent experience was very frustrating. I had ordered 3 videos from the Chronicles of Narnia collection for Christmas...

For the most part I love books. I devour the ideas in books. Yes, I am a book-a-holic. *smiles*
Barnes & Noble.com with its many discounts add an incentive for me to expand my ever increasing library of books. This is the place to go to for...

Pros: Excellent selection, fast checkout and shipping, many coupons. Cons: Rarely has best price.
As far as I'm concerned, books are commodities. One copy of a book is pretty much the same as any other copy. So, once I've decided I want a particular book, all I care about is getting it for the lowest possible cost. That usually means I won't end...

Let me preface this with the following: from my own days working for the online ecommerce world, I have zealous beliefs about what a customer's experience should be like. Particularly with the big companies - I find fault easily when things are not up...

Pros: Wide selection of items, fast and easy Cons: None that I'm aware of
There are a kazillion different online stores that allow you to purchase books, music, and gift items of all sorts. Barnes and Noble.com is just one of many, but it is undoubtedly this author's first choice.
For those of you who may not know,...

Pros: Great selection. Free shipping when you buy 2 or more items. Hassle free shopping! Cons: None.
I have been a regular shopper at Barnes and Noble online for over 2 years. The first time I shopped there was when they were giving coupons for $10 off of a $10 purchase with free shipping. I was immediately hooked. I have shopped at several other...

Pros: Great selection, reliable FREE shipping (during special holiday promotion) Cons: Busy site (or was my computer just hosed up? Hmmm...)
I like the idea of online shopping. No lines, no crowded parking lots, and no screaming babies (unless you count the ones in my office...but's that another story!) But there is something a bit unnerving about sending your credit card number blindly off...

I am a great fan of Barnes & Noble.com, and I have been so for about six years. The site provides a great and reliable service, and I always trust that I will get what I paid for at the time when I expect it to show. Throughout my college years I ...

Pros: good prices on classics, fair selection Cons: lacks the atmosphere of the store, better online book stores available
An avid reader, I find a trip to the local bookstore to be a refreshing event where I can leisurely browse and enjoy the selection of books available. In the last couple of years, I have been able to replicate this experience from the comfort of my own...

Pros: well...there's a large selection of books...BUT... Cons: I never received my orders and customer service was horrible.
As an avid reader I spend quite a bit of time in book stores. I frequent places such as Borders, Walden Books, B. Dalton and, of course, Barnes and Noble so much that people that work there usually remember me. In one case I was in my local B. Dalton...

I have shopped at B&N.com several times with the same results. I never end up with everything I ordered and the things I DO receive are late! I am a frequent amazon.com shopper and would recommend them over B&N.com any day.
This latest...
