I love shopping at Amazon, I got my digital memory card to use with my card reader that i got at photomaxphotos now all my photos can be uploaded to photomaxphotos.com now i can share my photos and store them with ease. I recommend Amazon fast service and great items... And i also recommend photomaxphotos.com to upload and share your photos with. plus you get 20 digital photos for just trying them out

I've noticed that their prices aren't consistent. If you click through an affiliate's website, you don't get as good a deal as you would if you type in amazon.com yourself. If you return books they charge restocking fees, so I've heard, and I know someone who ordered a book and received it looking used with a few light stains on it. My experiences have been good, but I've only ordered from them about 5 times.

I must say, their website is the best to check out books. You can read real reviews from real people, you can even read a few pages of the book itself which really makes or breaks the sale for me.

I have purchased many items through Amazon.com and love it! You can find just about anything, and there are a lot of online reviews right on the page. Orders generally have taken a week for most items, although around Christmas time things take a bit longer.

Here's something I've run across when buying a vacuum cleaner at amazon.com ..
The ad said free shipping and 5 - 10 days delivery time.

I'm *not* a happy camper with amazon.

The site is easy to navigate, and I found everything I was looking for (and more I didn't know I was looking).

The first and still one of the best online retailers available. Now with its huge selection of inventory ranging from electronics to bathroom supplies. I've never had any problem with this site. The prices are reasonable and sometimes even cheaper the local retailers in my town. For those who are willing to do a little searching, online coupons can bring down the prices of goods. My first stop for Online shopping

good but a bit expensive. delivery time is ok The order is very accurate. l will buy from here again next time if l see some sale there.

i paid for 4 books on amazon and so far i have recieved one book.
the other 2 books did not arrive by the delivery estimate date which was the 27th of july 2007.

i am absolutely appalled because this is not the first time this has happened to me.

earlier in the year i paid for a book which was to be flown to the uk from the usa.
to this day i did not recieve the book.
naturally i claimed a full refund but the point is, it is unacceptable to pay for something that for some unknown reason fails to be delivered to the customer.
i think if this continues, it will destroy the reputation of amazon even though they are not responsible but still the carelessness of the customs service rubs off onto amazon who i think are a trustworthy company.
the problem lays with customs and individual sellers who drag their feet when it comes to sending goods to be delivered to customers.

I ordered a Samsung Television from Amazon.com. It is 4 weeks later (3weeks after delivery date) and the package is still not here. Worst, it is difficult to get information about your shipment with Amazon. The challenge to find the way to speak to a customer service rep rivals my utility company. When you finally get someone, they can't tell you much. I just spent another 45 minutes trying to find out about it. I am on the verge of buying a TV locally and not accepting Amazons (if it ever comes) then disputing the bill. I have bought a lot of other things from Amazon, with no problem. This experience is going to make me think twice about using them again.

We attempted to purchase the Magellan 700 GPS from Amazon. After one attempt to deliver at 2:00 p.m. when no one was home, UPS sent it back to Amazon. We contacted Amazon about this goof up and were told they could not resend the product but encouraged us to return to their web site and place another order. We did go back to Amazon.com to place another order but the very same product's price was then $50 more. Amazon canceled our order saying we had given them an undeliverable address which was a total falsehood. We will never purchase from Amazon again.

I have had many problems with the initial set-up of my account with Amazon - at times I have been locked out of my account for no reason and had to re-set my password 6 times! The PS2 I bought arrived 4 days later than I was led to believe. This is because they count your order, when reaching the despatch department, as 'sent' which it is not until 3 days later.
I hardly use Amazon nowadays - there are cheaper sites which offer free delivery on all orders - but I guess its handy if you really can't find what you want anywhere else.

I have always had a great experience with Amazon.com. My orders are always accurate and I usual receive my purchases within 1 week.

The item I was looking to purchase clearly said Free Shipping - yet when I went through the Amazon link - not only was shipping not free, but it was over $66.00!!! Good thing I saw that before the order was complete..

Amazon defines online retailing!
This is how it should be done.

From site design - information you want and need.
To Order input - easy ordering and credit card input.
To confirmation - emails, emails, emails every step of the way.
To shipment tracking - again emails.
To delivery - ahead of schedule usually.

I made my first online-shopping on amazon.com, the estimated delivery date, according to the shipping I chose, was extremely accurate as the package was in my mailbox on the day that was estimated by the website. They also sent me an email on one day before the package arrived telling me that they charged me twice on the item I bought and they are going to make a refund (I wouldn't have known untill my credit card bill arrives), so I have to say they have a good customer service. Also the quality of the product I bought was excellent. So overall I have a good, satisfactory purchase with amazon.com
