Writer (The Glass Cocoon), Poet(Red-House-Tavern-Tales), Fee-based Financial Advisor.
I published a poem when I was 12 years old in a national magazine and have had some success the last 35 years in publishing articles, poems, short stories and a novel called The Glass Cocoon.
I earn a living as a fee-based financial planner licensed in several states through Waddell and Reed.
Writing can be addicting, frustrating and most people will never make enough as a writer to support themselves. I look for others to write with authenticity from the belly and from the heart. Every other aspect of writing can be learned with time, some study and practice, practice, practice.
Epinions is far from perfect and if you become too concerned with how some play games, how it isn't always fair and balanced, how some get to bend the rules and others are rude and seem to have chips on your shoulders, it will suck energy from you and you won't see the good things, and there are many many good things that are here.
Challenge yourself to writer better than you did yesterday.
Keep writing.

Sometimes
the grass is mowed on time
and the pruning gets done
at the house
where the writer
lives.
