No car and no help! by drasheed Pros: none
Cons: No car reserved, even though I had a reservation! Reserved a car with advantage due to their low rate from Chicago Midway Airport several weeks in advance. Was quoted a price of $146 for the week. I received a confirmation email 2 days before my trip, confirming the same price.

When I arrived at the airport I called them and they said "sorry, we are out of cars." I pointed out that I had a reservation, and they said "that only reserves the rate, not the car". They offered to book me with another company, but the rate was $430! They were unwilling to offer any help with the price difference. I talked to a manager as well, and he offered a nice apology but no help with a car. Fortunately there was a bus available that was a reasonable second option. If there would not have been a bus it would have been a total disaster! I would strongly recommend staying away from this company! |

Breaking Up Is Hard To Do at Branson Star Theatre by henryfarkas Pros: Funny, good music, good dancing, great csst.
Cons: It's in Branson, Missouri which is pretty far from almost anywhere else. My wife and I went to see the show, "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do" at the Branson Star Theatre. It's a musical comedy featuring the songs of Neil Sedaka.

It's an amusing situation. A bride gets deserted at the alter, and her best female friend convinces her that she and the bride should go on the honeymoon anyway. This isn't a spoiler. You find this out in the first five minutes. Anyway, they go to a hotel in the Catskills for the Labor Day weekend, and amusing things happen. There are plenty of laughs, the songs are great, and the cast is quite talented at comedy, singing, and dancing. My wife and I enjoyed the show a lot. We recommend it. And it cost about half what a similar musical comedy ticket would cost in any big city. Branson is pretty far from almost anywhere, but it's worth the trip. There are 100 theaters in town, and lots of entertainment. It's like Las Vegas without the gambling, and the entertainment, unlike Las Vegas, is fit for family viewing. |

Mayan Palace Nuevo Vallarta--BAD EXPERIENCE by eater1953 Pros: Very comfortable, and a great location
Cons: the above-mentioned timeshare salespeople. Recently visited this location as a guest of a family member. Hotel was very nice, tho a little dressy and not oriented to active guests. Example-- they advertise kayaks, and are on a pretty beach, but under no circumstances will they let you use the kayaks in the ocean-- only in the manmade "canals" they have constructed. If you want a simple analogy, Disneyland is perfect. Visually attractive and a complete fake.

Major problem is the timeshare salesmen, not the hotel proper. Extremely aggressive, and provided us, at least, information that was simply an outright lie. It will take at least four "no's, to a successsion of three different sales people, and then one person ostensibly just trying to get your views of the sales process, before you can leave. Take my advice--its not worth it. Incidently, if you are interested in seeing how their salespeople are trained and scripted, even down to their hand movements (I kid you not) go to http://www.mexicantimesharefraud.com/news040105.htm. It'd be hilarous if, at least in our case, the third in the series of salesmen hadn't gotten personally abusive, accusing us of having wasted his time, and nearly physically aggressive. |

Flying to Tokyo with Malaysia Airlines Business Class by alixander Pros:
Clean and comfortable cabin, professional service Cons: Dislike the colour of the new seat covers My journey to Tokyo started with an eight hour flight with Malaysia Airlines from KLIA to Narita Airport. The flight was a pleasant experience because of MH business class. The business class seat onboard Boeing 777 is really nice especially when the seat can fully recline. This makes catching some sleep on an overnight flight possible. And it's spacious. There is also a back massager which helps relax the back muscles. I should have bought one in my room. On board their staffs serves people in a professinal manner, they are polite and attentive. In a nutshell, there's no regret to choose this airline for travelling long haul.

Radio City Suites 142 W49th NYC .. A+ by beniver Pros: In the heart of the theater district, the suite we occupied was "just like home".
Cons: No cons. I have booked for May 2009. Book at least 6 months ahead. I stayed in a one bedroom suite with my husband and daughter in May of 2008. We paid $1,100.00 for four nights. It was well worth every dollar.
