Details: La Grave-La Meije will never be a conventional ski resort overloaded with facilities and infested with hotels and luxury flats. The mountains and their inhabitants are against it. On the vast unmarked slopes of La Meije, you can choose the route you fancy and never cross anyone else's tracks, skiing back and forth between little valleys and rocky outcrops, glacier wastes and pine forests.
