dissapointing performance
by powerquote,Oct 31 '05
Pros: lots of features low price Cons: sound dropping out and hearing the folks on the other line in background
Bleed through from other line is too high. Voice mail indicator doesn't correctly indicate. Sound in handset occasionally drops out when I talk loud. LCD hard to read and is angle critical.

Lousy phone from a lousy company
by yousaybeus,Jul 21 '06
Pros: Decent all around phone Cons: Hums with headset, customer service at panasonic is the pits.
Bought KX-TSC14B about 2 years ago from Staples primarily because it supported a standard headset. Brought it home, and the headset I was using hummed. I returned it for another one, still hummed. I bought another headset, still hummed. When my brother said he wouldn't speak to me anymore because he was hearing the hum when I called him, I called panasonic. They said the phone was only compatible with a panasonic headset, the model number of which they gave me. I bought it for close to $30. Still hummed. I called panasonic back, they said oh no, you were given the wrong model number, you need this other Panasonic headset. At that point, I had enough. I got a GE phone from staples.com. It's cheaper, MUCH nicer, and DOESN'T HUM!!!! Buy the GE 29460GE2 from Staples -- MUCH better phone, and cheaper, too.

Terrible Sound Quality
by jayesse,Sep 28 '03
Pros: Has Caller ID and Speakerphone Cons: Handset sound quality is not good.
I bought this corded phone based on looks and the fact that it had the features I was looking for. For $69.99, I fully expected GOOD SOUND. Well, the quality is terrible. I'm going to have to pack it up and take it back to the store for a refund.

Panasonic KX-TSC14W
by lindaja,Dec 08 '04
Pros: Is a corded phone (rare in these days) with speaker phone. Cons: Poor quality and minimal features for the price.
This is a 2 Line Phone w/Caller ID which cost me $67.98 w/Tax & S & H. I sent it back within a week. It was such a disappointment. UPDATE: First problem I found the speakerphone light on but no dial tone. It made me think the phone was unreliable. Second, the product details mentioned 50 speed dials but that only referred to caller I.D. numbers listed which called me. Real speed dial capability was only 10 entries you put into your directory. Also, speed dial numbers that are selected from a listed directory are a pain. You have to look up the name to use the speed dial. Only speed dials with one touch buttons are very useful. I got a new phone (one of the last of its kind) with one touch buttons. I use one button to contact the 800# for my phone card and another button for my pin# and a third button to dial the person. You cannot do that with directory speed dials. Lastly, the handset sound was not great and the speakerphone cut me off when the other person was speaking. I hope this additional information was a little more helpful.
