Panasonic TS3282 Lacks a critical feature
by gnew9,May 13 '05
Pros: Okay LCD Directory stores up to 50 numbers Cons: No speed dial buttons... NOT an intuitive set up.
ALL other Panasonic telephones I have had have a cool feature that this one is missing. While it has a 2.5 mm headset jack, the phone does NOT disconnect the headset when switching between speaker and "handset". This means that if you have the headset plugged in, as I often do, and the telephone rings: One can not just pick up the handset or answer via speaker phone. Very annoying.
Also there are eight buttons on the side for extensions. While this might work well for most, I would prefer these were one-touch speed dial buttons.
In short, I have liked other Panasonic models manufactured (and now discontinued) before this one.

Junk
by sdmarkow,Aug 02 '06
Pros: Nice speakerphone with loud enough volume. Cons: Line indicator only works with same model phone. See main body of the review.
This phone worked great for about 2 weeks. After about 2 weeks, I started to get static on my main phone line. A couple of days later, I started to get static on my second phone line. I thought it was a wiring problem in my house so I unplugged everything and started plugging in phones 1 at a time to isolate the lines. Turns out it was this phone, not my wiring. Needless to say, its going to be returned.

Intercom won't work with DSL
by mcneal,Dec 11 '05
Pros: I don't know. Cons: The intercom and DSL have the same frequency. Won't work if you have DSL.
I bought two phones and installed them. Then the Intercom would not work. I found a small note in the book, (not on box or advertising) that said the intercom and DSL have the same frequency. The book gave instructions to call the "consumer service line". Four calls and the only suggestion was to install another phone line. I returned the phones and lost three hours of my time.

Intercom does not work if you have DSL.
by mcneal,Dec 09 '05
Pros: I don't know. Cons: Intercom is on same frequency as DSL. If you have DSL, don't buy it.
I learned this after I unpacked and installed two of these phones. The book, NOT THE BOX, acknowledges this problem and said Customer Service could help resolve it. Four calls to customer service and the only solution I was offered was to install another phone line. I returned the phones.
