Pros: Easy to use for the technically inclined, lots of options, easily find help online! Cons: May not be so easy for the casual web designer.
Way back when Frontpage was something you just had and not something you actually wanted - I disliked it a whole lot! It added in code on it's own, the preview feature left something to be desired, and it just was not very easy to control. Now I have ...

Pros: User friendly, many features for the advanced user Cons: The tables are very confusing to work with and can be frustrating
Although people love to put down Microsoft products (as I sometimes do), this is an excellent program. Ive worked with FrontPage for eight years now and have used every version of their web authoring tools since the 97 version. The older versions ...

Pros: Quick, Not Bulky, Easy to learn, Powerful if you know how to use it Cons: No PHP Support
FrontPage typically gets a bad reputation from developers and I understand their frustration. Products like Dreamweaver are really nice, but for many people FrontPage is all they will ever need and it will server them well. I am a developer and I LOVE ...

Easy to use for building websites, but two caveats (read on)
by hbj200,Dec 05 '06
Pros: Easy to use, easy to learn, produces clean HTML, animations and stylish layouts Cons: Discontinued
Frontpage 2003 is a great, easy-to-use WYSIWYG web builder. Most hosting companies support Frontpage extensions, a set of web robots to help you build a dynamic site, similar to DHTML.
Two warnings, though:
1) This full version is too expensive; you may qualify to buy the half-priced Academic Version (search for "frontpage 2003 academic" on Amazon);
2) More important, though, Frontpage is being discontinued as a product altogether and will be replaced by Office SharePoint Designer (for businesses) and Expression Web (for everyone else). You can download the latter for free (for now, at least) on MSFT's website.

Pros: Once the web site is up and running the program is great for updating. Cons: Not user friendly to learn. Would be nice to have an instruction manual.
I use Windows XP. I'm familiar with how the program works. Front Page is not easy to use. Getting online help is time consuming.

Web Design
by kirbycream,Sep 19 '06
Pros: User Friendly, Quality for what you pay for. Very compatible. Cons: Would not use for advanced web design.
I begin to use this product in 2005 when i first got into designing websites in my first web design class at college. I have designed several sites with this software and really like it. It is a very program to choose if you are looking for something really easy to use for web design. It is great software for those people starting to design web pages. It prepares you for the more advance software. The software is very friendly to the user. One down side is the program is hard to find to buy just buy itself with out buying the entire Microsoft office 2003 program. I would not recommend for an advanced web designer.
