Pros: Screen, movablity, price Cons: Mouse, PC compatibility
As I have mentioned in my other reviews, I am a first year medical student and spend a lot of time studying. One of the places I do a lot of studying is the anatomy lab here. The lab, like those at many other schools, has augmented its teaching through ...
Pros: Footprint, speed, beautiful LCD screen, quiet as anything, good value. Cons: One button mouse from hell.
Being employed makes people do rash things. Check that, being employed, single, and without children makes people do rash things. And so it was that I was staring at the 15 inch monitor of my 7 year old PC last month, shopping around online for a new ...
Pros: power. versatility. convenience. mobility. Cons: I personally have a problem with my optical drive.
Hello. Let me tell you about my new iMac G5. I received my new iMac around October 7, 2004. I waited to review this thing until I had thoroughly used it and tested it with a variety of applications. I think I'm at that point. Following are the ...
Pros: Design, reliability, included software, 20" LCD screen. No visible wires whatsoever! Cons: Had an issue with the Blue Tooth mouse which now appears to be corrected.
Let me first start by saying I am a pretty hard core PC user. I have built over 25 systems, from basic internet/word processing machines to state of the art gaming systems. I have 5 desktop PC's and 2 laptop PC's all networked in my home. My wife says ...
Pros: Nice and fast; small footprint; beautiful industrial design Cons: can be noisy; component failures on early production models
There is no doubt that the iMac G5 is an excellent model, both in speed and in appearance. Price wise, buying an iMac G5 is even more economical than the purchase of a Mac Mini plus a flat screen, keyboard and mouse. This model's footprint is so ...
Pros: Compact, elegant, plenty of screen landscape. Reasonably priced considering the combination of CPU, monitor, software. Cons: No PCI slots, but with USB 2.0, Firewire 800 and a builtin monitor why bother?
Setting: I've been using the iMac G5 at home now for 6 months and have found it to be very reliable. It is an incredible space saver since the CPU is built in to the flat panel monitor. Also the keyboard slides under the monitor when not in use. ...
Pros: Gorgeous, elegant minimalist machine. Average reliability. Cons: Unresponsive and unintelligent customer service and tech support, problems with warranty and rebates
I was searching for a new laptop. somebody I knew suggested a mac powerbook. I researched some, found a few reviews and was really undecided. My last few PC's havent lasted all that long. Had 3 in about 9 years and I was liking what I was hearing about ...
Pros: looks, size, 64 bit cpu (G5), reliablity, neatness, LOOKS!!! Cons: buy more RAM, if you need it, the mouse grows on you......

Pros: Great layout, little clutter, built-in speakers, free downloads from apple website. Cons: Fan is a little loud, Explorer sometimes closes w/o warning, certain websites don't work.
I bought this computer after too many frustrating years of using PCs. I was tired of the "illegal operation" messages and random shut-downs. I'm in college and I had a laptop that had several issues.. the motherboard was fried, batteries were dying left ...
No more Blue Screen!!!! I love my iMac by extatic,Apr 28 '05
Pros: Easy to use, easy to set up, very fast & stable. ilife 05 (nuff said) Cons: Not a lot of software available for macs...currently, outside that no problems from me.
Coming from a p.c. environment, I was used to various annoyances from window's different operating systems, and spyware. With my iMac I have yet to see a blue screen, an unwelcome pop-up, or a malicious virus. Outside being very stable, easy to use, and powerful, Mac's are much better looking than windows pc's.
Changing over to a Mac in not hard. The ease of initial set up blows microsoft away. Out of the box the initial set up only takes 15-20 min. I highly recommend macs to friends and coworkers.
Pros: Fast
Reliable (If you fix the PS)
Quiet Cons: Power Supply Issues
I purchased my iMac from American TV and Appliance! Wow, big mistake! I love my iMac but the quality of service from American was pathetic! The biggest flaw of these early G5 iMacs was the power supply, a capacitor would explode and cause the motherboard to fry. Luckily Apple issued a recall, but American did not know that so it took two months for them to fix it whereas it took two days for the Apple Store to fix my Uncles iMac without a warranty. Overall, I have yet to encounter any other major flaw in this Awesome mac.
Pros: Works Beautifully, great look Cons: nothing bad to say about it
This is one of the best computers I have ever had the pleasure of working with. They have a computer lab full of them at my college, and i have never been disappointed with their performance. If you have the chance to purchase one, i would do it in a heartbeat.
