Pros: disposable, waterproof, rugged, shockproof, durable, can use in the ocean! Cons: one time use, daylight and outdoor use only, some grainy, dark pictures
For my birthday I shed $288 on a brand new digital camera. It is my pride and joy and I hope to have it for many years. This camera I will never take to the beach, pool, or anywhere else with water since I do not want anything to happen. Instead, I ...
Pros: Waterproof, readily available, great pictures. Cons: None.
On our first trip to Sesame
Place we packed a huge bag of necessities, including a standard camera. We took dozens of pictures, until we stowed everything in a locker so we could enjoy the pools ...
Pros: Beautiful underwater pictures, durable and rugged Cons: It is a single use
Got Snorkels? It is beach time, vacation time, the ocean depths are calling our inner surfers. In this day and age, where digital is a second language, most of us pack and plan carefully when going on vacation as to not leave behind the digital. ...
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Much cheaper and safer than alternatives. Cons: Only 27 exposures, vs unlimited with a digital.
I love photography as a hobby and thankfully I have a job that allows me to travel all over the world. Digital cameras especially digital SLR cameras are very expensive. When I found myself on a very small tropical island in the middle of the Indian ...
Way Better Than I Expected! by angelnicki,Jul 01 '06
Pros: Clear photos when used outdoors, can be used underwater, floats, durable. Cons: Grainy pictures when used indoors, hard to advance film.
I bought this camera to have fun with at the pool... but I wasn't expecting the photos to be of very good quality. I mean, it's a DISPOSABLE camera, right? But most of the pictures came out very clear! We not only used it around the pool, but I actually went underwater and took pictures of the kids swimming! The camera was very durable, and it floated!
I also took the camera to an indoor pool with the kids, but the photos that we took indoors came out very grainy and sort of strange.
Also, it was sort of hard to advance the film. There is a little wheel on top to turn, but on most cameras the wheel stops turning when the film is advanced. On this camera, the wheel can be turned over and over again, and it is a little hard to tell when the film has advanced to the next picture. As a result, a couple of the photos came out with the bottom of one picture and the top of another.
Tough little camera, a little clumsy to operate by cheryl5280,Aug 14 '05
Pros: Tough camera, can take a beating. Good pics on clear days. Cons: Difficult to operate at first.
This is definitely a waterproof drop-it-on-a-rock-proof camera. I took it on a boat trip through the Grand Canyon, where it was submerged many many times, banged into rocks and repeatedly thrown into the hatch of the boat. I just got the pictures back so let me comment on those first.
The best pics are the ones taken in bright light. Any hint of clouds and you get a grainy picture. Overall the picture quality is very good and I have snapshots for my desk.
As for the camera itself, I found it cumbersome to use.
First, the arrow on the wheel to advance the film is not easy to see. When I handed it to others to take pictures for me, they inevitably tried to turn it the wrong way. The button you push to take the picture is made of rubber, and feels spongy when you press it (so it is hard to tell if the picture really took). Also, the window that shows how many pictures remain is difficult to read.
By the second camera I got the feel for it, but alas, my vacation was over......
Waterproof,crashproof and shockproof by yubon2,Aug 21 '05
Pros: Good quality Cons: Complicating at first
I went to a beach with this and I decided take a pic,but I pressed the bit where the shutter should be,but like a Dimage,it was in front!I got the hang of it and took a lot.
Pros: Took great shots of my girlfriend underwater, only cost a few bucks Cons: My girlfriend looks like a hippopotamus.
This camera GETS AN a+ IN my book, and I wrote one on underwater marine life in southern new zealand. you wont get professional prints, but for the average joe, it does well. and it fits in your pocket
