Pros: Light and Airy. Keeps its Promise. Cons: Suspect on/off switch. No speed control.
Black and Decker, based in Towson, Maryland, markets a line of outdoor tools with interchangeable 18 volt batteries. Cordless tools powered by the rechargeable 18-volt battery are: the Hedgehog hedge trimmer, Cordless broom hard surface sweeper, Grasshog®...
Pros: Lightweight, comfortable grip, easily maneuvered into corners. Remember the rake when leaves pile up. Cons: Although I dislike battery-powered anything, is a fun tool- Nothing objectionable noted by the Partnership.

Pros: Good wind velocity, Great fit and control, two batteries Cons: I have to use it.
Doing yard work blows! Ok, OK. I know thats a cheap shot lead-in when reviewing a device designed to blow stuff off the sidewalk. Ive always admitted that Im cheap and lazy so what else can be expected? As a matter of fact, Im so ...
Actually, my mother first bought this Black & Decker blower for herself to blow off her driveway and sidewalks. She bought me one soon after because she loved hers so much. I told her, I didn't know why she spent the money because I really didn't need ...
Pros: Lightweight, fun and easy to use, maneuverable Cons: yeah...the battery issue, although cheaper than makita's
This is the second cordless blower we own. (the other is the makita) We have bought them both because I guess I am always on a quest for the quicker picker upper, or blower, should I say. I love it! With cordless, there is always the issue of batteries ...
Pros: -Worth every penny, cleans up even heavy construction debris, easy to use Cons: -will not blow debris to IndoChina, does not have wind velocity of an SR-71

The blower is not that powerful.

We are a Black and Decker Family... by admrink,Jun 28 '08
Pros: lightweight, quality construction, interchangeable battery with other B&D cordless tools Cons: battery life *sigh*
As my son pointed out this morning, almost every lawn and garden tool we own is manufactured by Black and Decker. I've found that B&D produces quality products that hold up season to season. And if you have an issue with a product, the warranty service centers are staffed by friendly, knowledgeable folk. They replaced our Air Hog leaf mulcher without a comment (the motor burned out after my son mulched a yard's worth of wet leaves). The new one arrived within a week. The cordless blower continues B&D's tradition of easy-to-use, function tools. It is lightweight, balanced and works like a charm (our 13 yo daughter has no problem using the blower). The battery life is an issue as pointed out by other reviewers, but it comes with two batteries so you can keep one charged. We also own B&D's battery-powered weed whacker, so I always have at least one fully-charged battery available. Bottom line: if you are looking for a good quality, inexpensive, cordless blower, this is a perfect choice.
Quick, easy so keep it handy by peanut53,Jul 05 '05
Pros: Easy to charge and insert batteries, Grab and go tool. Cons: Not for really big jobs, but I'm not doing them anyway.
Although I tend to leave the really heavy duty jobs to my husband, I often need like to take care of quick job outside. I too got tired of hauling out extension cords, having them catch on things and having to reconnect to get the whole job done. It's especially annoying when it's only a small job.
This Black and Decker electric broom fits the bill. It's lightweight, fairly quiet and easy to handle. I always keep the 2 batteries charged so I can grab and go at a moments notice. Granted it's not for big jobs but it will blow pinecones, small twigs, leaves and other small debris. I like the fact that I can clean areas where there is no power source. I may start looking into using other cordless tools.
Pros: Good battery life, lightweight, no cords Cons: None.
I bought this blower about a month ago and have used it many times. It works great. It comes with a charger and two batteries. I have used it to blow the grass off my sidewalks, driveway, and porch all with one battery. It easily blows grass off the cement. I would recommend this blower to anyone who needs to blow some grass, small leaves, or any other small items around. It probably would not do well on large blowing jobs. My wife didn't want something gas powered that would be heavy and I didn't want to deal with any extension cords. I saw this unit on epinions and all the reviews were good so I gave it a try. My wife likes the simple on/off switch and that it doesn't weigh very much. I like that it cuts the time to sweep off the cement by 90% from using a broom.
Second Best Cordless Tool I Own by kewissman,Jun 04 '07
Pros: Weight, balance, power Cons: Can't think of any
I can't add a thing to the joetrent review. This is a great cordless tool for your yard. Don't expect it to be as powerful as a backpack gas powered blower but for 99% of my suburban yard needs it works great.
Purchased at Amazon.
BTW: my favorite cordless tool is the Neuton lawn mower.
Can't be beat for basic blowing by feelinggood,Oct 01 '04
Pros: Lightweight, no cords, no hassle, blows hard surfaces nicely Cons: Not good for lawns and gardens - this is made clear on the box.
I love this blower/sweeper. I have a big Toro blower/vacuum which is a pain-in-the-neck when all you want to do is blow your patio and walkways. This B&D unit is lightweight 5.5 pounds and uses batteries (comes with two). It says a charge lasts 3 hours, but I don't even have enough property to blow for 3 hours. It's great for cleaning off any hard surfaces - just grab it, pop in a battery and off you go! Will also work great for blowing the garage floor when I get around to it. Here in Phoenix some of us have gravel in our little yards instead of grass, so this blower even works on blowing some tree droppings and other debris that lands on the gravel like dropped leaves from a citrus tree. I am SO happy that I found this because blowing the gravel was a pain in the neck so I just hired someone to do it and generally just swept the patio because getting the big Toro blower out was too much of a hassle. This light unit fits the bill and I'm so happy that I saw it in the store.
