Pros: Easy to use. All wearable parts replaceable. Cleans walls and stairs too.
Cons: A little heavy and Aquabot does not offer a caddy.
My husband bought me an Aquabot in 2004 as a (rather unromantic) Mother's Day present. It was expensive, BUT it is by far one of the best purchases we've ever made. We had just bought a new house with a 38' x 20' inground swimming pool. I cannot imagine how many hours of cleaning this machine has saved me over the years. It cleans the entire pool (even the walls and stairs) in a couple of hours and does a fantastic job. It has also proven to be extremely durable. I recently discovered something that makes it even more of a value--EVERY wearable part on an Aquabot is easily replacable. This is not a "throw-away" item. The parts are relatively inexpensive and very easy to install. The first (and only) part that needed to be replaced were the drive belts. I ordered them online and installed them in about 15 minutes with a phillips screwdriver. I'm not trying betray my gender, but I am a mom who is not mechanically inclined and even I found it simple. This is a great product.
