Pros:Entertaining, educational, and the host relates well to the audience.
Cons:Is occasionally (but rarely) over the heads of the young.
It's what I say everytime I watch this program. I turn this on for my two young daughters, ages 6 and 8, only to find myself wholly engrossed in it, and shushing them so that I can hear it.
Jeff Corwin explores every inch of the earth, and takes his audience with him. He gives hints about THE animal that he is searching for, and finds other equally interesting animals and plants along the way.
This show is informative, educational, and entertaining all at once-- which is needed in order to keep the interest of a young mind...I know--my youngest daughter has the attention span of about 3 minutes, yet will sit and watch this show from beginning to end.
Jeff Corwin is a modern, hip Leonard Nimoy from "In Search of", a program I remember from my younger days. He is cute, fascinating, and has the credentials to back him up. When he talks to the camera, you feel as though he is talking to you, and that you're with him on his trek in search of the animal of the day.
I highly recommend this program for all minds young and old. Watch it, I guarantee that you'll say "I didn't know that" at least once.
