Oh no. This weekend I began cleaning out my garage and had a swarm of hornets try to attack me. Nothing unusual for this time of year, so am I glad I had a bottle left over from last fall of the Raid Wasp & Hornet killer.
This 14 oz bottle kills instantly upon contact, wasps, bees, hornets, yellow jackets, you name it. Not only does it wipe out the fleet of stingers, but it leaves poisonous residue leftover to heed off any incoming traffic. If you can find the nest, it is best to seperate the nest with a stick after the activity is down, and spray again. They say it is the best to use in the early morning or evening, when bees are less likely to attack.
I have to warn you, this is dangerous stuff. You can not breathe it in, or get near your eyes or skin. Close any windows that are open if you are spraying outside your door so it does not seap in your home. Only use while you have venilation, use a face mask or at least stand far away as your arm can stretch from the spray nozzle, and keep away from the nest, bush, or honeycomb, whatever the case may be.
After use, store this far away from children and pets, and do not spray if kids, pets, or your food supply are near. Basically, use common sense. This is highly potent, and works well enough that you won't have to worry about those bees anymore. Now, you may get new flocks of them, but now you will have this to ward them off. Last year, the bees were in my shed, and I haven't noticed any new nests, and hopefully, my garage will stay bee free as well!
