Pros:An affordable complete supplement for over all well being.
Cons:Might act as an appetite inducer as oppose to suppresor, minimal/no visible weight loss
The Bottom Line: Take One-A-Day Weight Smart only as the supplement it is intended. For weight loss, go somewhere else.
So many reviewers had already written about the chemical compound of the product, as well as general information about taking the product. I would like to strictly inform you about my experience while using this product. If you need to know about One a Day, just look it up on the net. I always wanted to know other people experiences with a certain product and not just the general info which I could easily obtain elsewhere. So I hope this review will help you make a wise decision on either to use One A Day Weight Smart or otherwise.
At first I thought I hit the jackpot with Bayer's One-A-Day Weight Smart. It has almost all the essential multi vitamins one need while undergoing a weight loss regime. I thought it's a good idea to pop a fill that helps keep my body in balance while helping me shave off pounds. I religiously pop one a day for one month and I had to say I was greatly dissapointed.
To many, weight loss is an ongoing battle and I have been battling with mine since my early teens. However, I managed to live an active adult life now and needed something to help me loose those stubborn ten pounds or so. I exercise three times a week, an hour each, either by doing cardio, pilates, weight trainning or swimming. I follow a flexible vegetarian diet and only eat meat occasionaly and avoids red meat all together.
I have to admit that those light green pills are humongous, and you might find it sticking down your throat sometimes. When that happends, just wash it down with plenty of water.
There is a herbal like after taste but not too bad that it becomes unbearable. I take it every morning after breakfast since the label did warn to take it only with food. I tried skipping breakfast once and pop the pill and immediately felt nauseous, dizzy and very uncomfortable. So please remember to always eat first.
I did not feel any side effects at the beginning but later on, I notice that my appetite actually grew. I rarely let myself starve and I eat small meals throughtout the day. But since taking the supplement, I notice those small meals no longer satisfy my hunger. I caught myself eating more than usual on several ocassions and I am very sure those are not emotional hunger since I could actually hear my stomach growling!
3 weeks into the pill, I realized I developed a very bad case of incontinence along with insomnia. Sometimes you could *taste* the pill when you burp and I really hated that. I felt bloated at times and I had to blame that on the pill. :)
I told myself not to be discouraged and continued on. To my horror, I found myself gaining almost 5 pounds in one month! I think it's all the extra calories that I've been consuming. I immediately stopped and upped my exercise. Two weeks after stopping, I feel much better now. My appetite has gone back to normal and I sleep better.
So far, I've had bad experience with two kind of fat loss pill and Weight Smart is one of them; Stacker 2 being the other. I could not tolerate the ephedrine in Stacker 2 as it gives me cold sweat and the jitters.
Sometimes we dream of a magic pill that truly melts away the fat and help build lean muscle. I for one have been hoping and praying that someday, somewhere, someone will finally come up with the real fat loss pill. Until then, I will just have to sweat myself out and maintain a balanced diet. There really isn't that one magic pill, only sheer determination and will power that will get you through the weight battle.
The bottom line is, One A Day Weight Smart might work for some but it surely didn't work for me. If you really want to try it, please do and give it the benefit of the doubt. Don't just take my word for it. Just proceed with caution and don't set your expectations to high. Actually, I think Bayer shouldn't even market it as a weight loss pill. It just should remain a supplement like most of its product but with the added benefit of green tea.
*** Hehe...I just bought Xenadrine EFX ... guess I am still on the lookout for something magical after all!! Will start at the beginning of August. Wish me luck!
