Pros: Absolutely launches the ball. Good conversation topic when everyone asks what it is.
Cons: Hard to control and use other clubs after. Weird sound when you hit. Bad colors.
The Bottom Line: Buy this club if you want some extra yards in your drive, but be aware that it is hard to control this club. Won't be my primary driver.

If you are looking to turn some heads before you even swing the club, this will certainly get that reaction. By far one of the strangest looking golf clubs I have ever seen ... it looks more like an oversized putter than a driver. I joke with my friends that it looks like someone attached a toaster oven to the end of a golf club shaft. This thing is HUGE ... the head alone is about the size of two of my Calloway Warbird heads. This is a square shaped head with a very big face ... I can't imagine a club having more area to hit a ball with. The sound this club makes when it strikes a ball is a low sounding 'thwaaaack!'. It sounds like a starter's gun going off. It is really quite ridiculous. This club looks like something Braveheart would have brought to a battle.
Having joked about its looks, I will say that once you get the hang of it, it will give you some of the longest drives that you have hit. Swinging this club will take some practice. It is not as heavy as it looks to be, and actually has quite a light feel to it. At first, the swing didn't feel natural at all and despite the huge face, I was sending balls in every which direction at the driving range. Until you get in a groove, you don't have a very good feel with this club. I would hit a ball way to the right and make what felt like a minor correction and on the next swing, the ball would go way off the mark to the opposite direction.
Once I did get the hang of it, I found it launched the ball. I consistantly got another 15 - 20 yards on each drive I was able to hit straight. Despite this, I never really felt comfortable with this club. It is almost like something that you slowly get used to swinging and then have to get used to all over again once you use another club. Which brings me to another point, when you do switch clubs and go for a smaller faced driver it will feel as though you are swinging one of those wooden woods from the 1970s.
I use the Nike Sasquatch Sumo2 when I need to get a really far drive on a wide open fairway that is straight away. I would not attempt to use this club to drive a ball in a fairway that has woods or doglegs or bends. When I need to open up on a ball and send it 300 yards, I take this club out. When I need accuracy, it stays in the bag. I have used this club on several holes in tournaments to contend with the longest drive contest. At the driving range, when I want to impress, I take it out and send a few balls over the back fence.
If you are a golfer who likes to be in a rhythm ... this probably isn't the club for you. I find that sometimes even when my swing feels perfect, I tend to hit the ball in the wrong location. Because of the club's very interesting look, I have had several people try it and they always either top the ball, hit behind it or send the ball about 100 yards on the ground like a ground ball in baseball.
I may keep it and try the first edition with the round face because I am sure the huge square club face has something to do with my inconsistancy while using this club.
It appears to be made very well. It has a nice shaft that feels good when you swing it. I do wonder about how it will last over the years though with such a big head attached. The grip is adequate. I am a taller golfer and bought this without having a specially made shaft added and the shaft is actually fine for me. Normally, I need a longer shaft but this one feels fine for a 6'4 inch golfer.
The drawbacks, in my opinion are how long it takes to get used to the club and also the sound it makes when you hit with it. It is really a weird metal sound that makes it sound as though you hit the ball weird, even though on perfect drives it makes the same sound. It also takes up a lot of space in the bag as the head is so much bigger than all the other clubs.
I would like a black version of the club because, in my opinion the yellow and silver combination stands out too much and almost gives it a cheaper kind of look ... as if it were a power tool or something a construction worker would use.
Overall, for novelty and long drives this is a good club. If I had to pick one driver to use all the time, this wouldn't be it. It is a little awkward and unpredictable.
