korneroffice's Full Review: Allway Tools Hand Sander Univsl
This is the time of year for spring cleaning and remodeling. There are so many various projects around the house, that my kitchen looks like the inside of Home Depot. Among the many tools I have currently on hand to work with is the Allway Hand Sander, in which I have had for quite some time, with little to no problem, considering it is made out of part plastic and part stainless steel.
Right now, I am doing small projects like sanding down wood statues in my yard that may have been damaged from winter wear and tear. This is good for moulding and small wood items that need tending to. However, when sanding the deck, I will use my electric power sander. This is basically for small nicks and scratches in your wood flooring or other minor chips that cause splinters and such.
This does require a lot of elbow grease, and should not be used for big projects, otherwise you will end up with a sore wrist and shoulder. It is very light and smooth to use, and is better than sandpaper. The grip is wide enough and durable enough to really put your muscle where your mouth is. It does a pretty good job, considering it is manual. This is also a wonderful tool to have if you have young teens in your family who want to help dad! It does have sharp edges, so you still have to be careful if you let your kids help you around the house.
For under $10 how can you go wrong? They are easily replaceable if you have a problem, which I have not. This is rust proof with it's smooth finish and is not wobbly or in any other way unsafe to someone who knows how to use it.
