I get very short breaks often when teaching, and I've found that in eating smaller meals I am now hungry more frequent. I have been trying to find good tasting, good for you, filling "bars" to help fill that need - eat and go.
I purchased my bar of Genisoy "Southern Style" Chunky Peanut Butter Fudge at my local grocery store. The bars were next to the display of LUNA bars, another soy based bar. Both were the same price, and I noticed the Genisoy had some different flavors, so I tossed one into the cart. Who doesn't love anything that says peanut butter fudge???
From the company:

I wasn't really that familiar with the company at all, but the name clearly leads me to believe that this product contains soy, something I've been reading more and more that can benefit women. I felt like maybe I was getting a healthy bar, and one that would fill me up between meals.
The Genisoy Chunky Peanut Butter Fudge bar comes wrapped in bright orange packaging, and really doesn't lead the buyer to any hint of what might be inside. So once I got the bar to work, the day I went to eat it I knew I'd really be in for a new experience since I didn't have a clue what I was getting!
My bar looks sort of familiar ... a little like a thin chocolate bar, but different. Really it reminded me the most of those Slimfast bars. I thought that could be good, because I often enjoyed how the Slimfast meal-on-the-go bars tasted. But honestly they were never that "good" for me, and they were quite sweet as well as not very filling.
Still ... maybe this bar was different.
I swear I feel I was not biased, but this product could be a Slimfast bar marketed under another name. The taste was very, very good, don't get me wrong. Not like eating a chocolate bar, but very tasty and satisfying to eat. It was not very creamy, but not dry either. It wasn't crumbly or gooey. It really did work well and was easy to eat. It totally curbed my chocolate craving for that time.
However, it really wasn't very filling. I ate this bar in between lunch and dinner. Within an hour of eating this bar I was starving! I was so hungry all I could think about was leaving work and getting some dinner!
Though a nice tasting bar, I didn't feel this bar really filled me up or gave me much to go on. For that reason I don't really recommend it - I don't think it helps keep me full, and its not the best choice for a snack. Though soy based I think there are better bars out there.
