bgoodday's Full Review: Colorado Rockies Square Shot Glass - 2 oz.
When you start something you must give it your all or not do it at all. Isn't that what are parents taught us when we were growing up and now that we have become parents try to teach our own children as well. Well I started collecting shot glasses and in that processed realized that I had a collection within a collection. I have an entire series of baseball shot glasses. Now I only buy a particular type of shot glass and if the team does not make that kind then they are not represented in my shot glass collection.
I originally bough the Colorado Rockies Square Shot Glass when I came to Colorado to attend a wedding. While I was here I spent time with lots of family and a good deal of them are Colorado Rockies fans. We were at the mall trying to find an autographed picture of Elway when I ran across the Colorado Rockies shot glass that would take its place in my collection.
The Colorado Rockies Square Shot Glass is the same in shape and size to all of the other shot glasses in my Major League Baseball shot glass collection. I new right away that I would be paying the $6.99 that the sports store was asking for this particular shot glass (there was one for 3.99 that was not as cool). This shot glass measures 2 1/2 inches in height. The shot glass is made of clear glass that has no imperfections in it and can hold up to two ounces of liquor in it.
This shot glass has rounded corners on all the edges but still maintains the square shape very well. The emblem is made out of metal and it represents the team's logo perfectly. The outer edge of the metal circle is silver and then there is a purple inner ring followed by another silver one. The entire inner part of the circle is of course Colorado Rockies purple. The half circle emblem is white with a black half moon type banner across the top that has Colorado written on the inside of it in white. Just below that are the purple Rocky Mountains with the infamous snow capped peaks outlined in purple. Then ROCKIES is written across the bottom in hollow black box letters. There is a line along the entire word ROCKIES.
There is nothing spectacular about this Colorado Rockies Square Shot Glass except that it is now in my collection. It is a shot glass that can be washed in the dishwasher but that will probably never get used. It is one of those things that you look at but don't touch. It is a nice addition to my rather ever-growing collection but I did not buy it because I am a Colorado Rockies fan, just a fan of shots. If you are a fan of the Rockies I would suggest getting this one instead of some of the lesser quality glasses I have seen out there.
