| bgoodday's Full Review: Bun & Thigh Max |
I travel a lot for work and my wife cannot sleep if I am not in the house so she stays up all night, every night listening to infomercials. When I get home from a business trip she usually has a list of items that she has been hearing about for at least a few days and is absolutely convinced that we need to get. I thank God that most infomercials do not say the phone number out loud rendering her unable to call on a whim. This forces her to write them down and then we check them out together, unless she can figure out what the website is to order it.
On one of those occasions she approached me about buying the Bun and Thigh Max for her. I refused to buy it without first seeing the product so we went over to the mall, this is when we lived in San Diego, and I found it at the As Seen on TV Store. It was actually cheaper to buy at the store because you did not have to pay any shipping and handling charges. Five years ago we purchased this for 49.95 plus tax and while I was very reluctant she insisted that we must get it. Since it was a lot cheaper than some of the other items she had on her list I decided to go ahead and get it for her.
The Bun and Thigh Max is a simple machine that at the time I insisted was not worth $50.00. It is made of hard plastic with some type of foam attached to each of the ends. The arms as they are referred to in the instructional booklet are 17 1/2 inches long and both of them are adjustable. Attached to the end of both arms are adjustable pads so that you can be comfortable when doing all five of the exercises.
There is a hub on the Bun and Thigh Maxlocated at the bottom of the arms. The button on the hub can be pushed in to adjust the arms for different exercises and difficulty levels. There are two ways to set the arms for a total of five exercises. If the arms are in the outer position you can do the reverse leg kick and the outer thigh exercises. If the arms are in the inner position you can do the calf presses, leg presses and inner thigh exercises. There are three difficulty levels for each exercise; beginner, intermediate and advanced.
The infomercial boasted that you would see remarkable results in just two weeks if you used the Bun and Thigh Max for five minutes a day. You had to watch the five minute instructional video to learn the proper way to do the exercises. It probably took me an hour to show my wife how to use the machine. In the box also came a pamphlet with a menu that you were to follow each day for fourteen days. If you did all of these things you were guaranteed to lose 2 pant sizes or get your money back.
She used the Bun and Thigh Max faithfully for two weeks. She followed the diet plan included for two weeks and she did go down in pants sizes. The calorie intake on the diet was anywhere from 1200 to 1400 a day. She had breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as two snacks. It definitely worked very well for her. She still has and uses the Bun and Thigh Max.
We did have to get a replacement one sent to us because after about two months of use something happened to the springs inside of the hub and it would no longer work. The company did not give us a hard time at all, in fact they sent a new one out without any questions at all and she was back to exercising within ten days of our call. The second Bun and Thigh Max she received is still working fine today.
She still uses it and it still keeps her legs, hips, thighs and buns pretty toned so you are definitely not going to hear any complaints about the Bun and Thigh Max out of this very happy man. I have to admit that this was one time she was right about an item she wanted to purchase from an infomercial. Now she is trying to talk me into getting the Total Gym!
Thanks fore reading and rating.
