Good prices but not much else. Web site offered a redemption card worth $70 for tennis accessories with the purchase of the tennis racket. I purchased the tennis racket but never received the redemption card even after repeatedly emailing the company (it is now 3 months later). When I called the company I spoke to a very snippy customer service person. False advertising!

Ordered two pairs of the same model tennis shoes. Received message from them that only one pair was available and what did I want to do. Returned the call and requested two pairs of a different model instead. They then sent me three pairs of shoes, including the canceled pair. When I called their toll customer service line I was very nicely given a Return Authorization and was told that my refund would include the return shipping charge. When they later issued a refund, it did not include anything for return shipping. Calling their toll customer service line again concluded with a very rude response from a customer service(?)individual denying any responsibility for the mistake, implied that I was lying, and then flatly refusing my request of just a $3.75 shipping refund!!!!

Its been years since I bought from Holabird.In my youth I always found it a pleasant experience, but I bought some rackets from them recently and boy times have changed. I found customer service to be snippy and unpleasant, I received the rackets in a makeshift trash bag with a piece of cardboard holding them together.I wont do business with them again, stick to Tennis Warehouse, they blow them away.

Holabird does a great job. The store has the lowest prices, largest inventory, gets the products out immediately. What else could you want? If you are new to buying rackets I highly recommend these guys. You will not be disappointed.

I purchased a Prince Bandit racket. It arrived with a huge bulge in the handle (an obvious defect). I spoke to Holabird and they said to return it and they'd send me a new one and credit me for the shipping expense. A couple of weeks go by without a word from them. I then called them and the person informs me that the racket was found to not be defective. I said it most certainly was. I knew within 2 seconds of picking the racket up that it was obviously defective. I've played all my life and know a defective racket when I see one. This wasn't a ticky-tack sort of thing. After speaking to the lady I figured out that they didn't want to deal with Prince and that's the reason that they ignored the defect. So I guess that racket is back in their inventory waiting for another victim. The upshot is that I received nothing but a customer dis-service for my $20 in total shipping charges. Tennis Warehouse is much better and usually has the same if not better prices.

Most of the items listed by shopping.com at holabirdsports.com show up with a message, "We are sorry, but this item can not be purchased online. Please contact us for pricing and ordering info." so what is the point?

I ordered a tennis bag after finding that their price was the best I could find on the internet. Everything arrived as promised. Very fast shipping.

Routinely advertises unstocked and/or unavailable items. Low $ to sucker you in while they waste your time for weeks trying to fill the order. Then they call you and ask for "a week to ten days" as they're on "backorder from the manufacturer". Then comes the "we don't think we're going to be able to get your product. Do you still want to wait?"

If you've been on the net, you've seen this kind of operation before. I was looking for New Balance crosstrainers, a brand new model #853 that's heavily stocked and available. Don't get fooled by their low prices. This is my 2nd time in a year trying to order from them (I tried back in Jan for NB #852 crosstrainer) and met with same runaround. Same thing for the #853. Good luck.

Super fast shipping. The shoes are great. Exactly what I expected. Will shop with them again. My expectations were totally fulfilled.

Holabird has VERY competitive prices for tennis racquets and pretty cheap shoes (when they're on sale). I've ordered 3 racquets for myself and 1 for my brother. The string jobs were great and everything I have ordered arrived on time. I mostly order online, but the few contacts I've had with them (via email and phone) were courteous and helpful.

I would NEVER do business with Holabird again. I paid for two day shipping. It took over a week before my item shipped out. They may have the lowest prices but they have no customer service. You are better off to pay a little more and get some service.

I can imagine for most people Holabird does fine. But these guys are not a world-class Internet Retailer. The reason is they have no real-time stock information. You can order something and have no idea if it is in stock or not. For at operation this big, this is an embarassment. Instead a day later I get a PHONE CALL that the item is out of stock. I also DID NOT GET AN E-MAIL ORDER CONFIRMATION. I found it at another retailer that actually tells you if it is in stock or not BEFORE. I'm sure on most items they have it in stock, not all, and I'm sure most people don't care if they get their order in 4 days or 7 days, but for the rest of us, these guys SUCK.
