Honest people; wonderful, quality machine; but probably different than what you were expecting

by grunchy, Jun 21 '06
About the Web Sites: Actionbent.com, and the e-bay online store, are both decent sites that seem to be actively maintained. There is no flash-animation frippery; information loads quickly and the site controls work as expected with no bugs that I have ...

Great cycle, great price, and good folks to deal with!

by chesshire_cat, Sep 03 '06
I ordered their "high racer" model. At the prices these cycles were offered, I really was not expecting a bike with a great fit/finish. I was completely, and quite pleasantly surprised. Not wanting to wait for a few weeks (who does?) I selected a model ...

Poor design with under size mounting hardware & Idler pulley mounting stem soft metals
by brew10,Dec 15 '06
I got really fast delivery from ActionBent, but after riding the recumbent for the past year I am regretful that I bought this brand. The Idler pulley was all wrong. I had to add two additional for a total of three to get the correct flow. It only comes with one which leaves the chain dragging across the under-seat bars. The original Idler pulley mounting stem is tapped for a (small) 6-mm stud, about 1 inch long. The stud has broken three times which leaves me stranded. they are non respondent to requests for information.

The new seats are much more laid back than the old seats on the Jet Stream. I had to make a new bracket to hold it in the right place. then I had to raise the crank by adding 2.5 inches to the head tube, to get the pedals off the front wheel.

The photos on their web site did not show the new seat on the bike.

Excellent customer service
by n4iyterry,Mar 27 '07
I bought a recumbent bike from a different vendor. I had an accident and bent the front wheel. I called the vendor and asked if I could purchase a replacement wheel, they promised to call me back and after two weeks still have not.

I called Actionbent and they gave me very friendly and prompt service, replacing my front wheel for only $25! I admitted to them that I had not purchased my recumbent from them and still they gave me this very good deal and friendly service.

I intend all my recumbent purchases in the future to be through Actionbent, they earned it.
