Pros: Beautiful design, great interface, great graphics, versatile applications. Cons: Very heavy; lower end of Apple's power laptops. Weak speakers ; bad power adapter design
When I was an art major, we were required to get an Apple laptop. The graphic design program recommended the MacBook Pro but at the time (this is a while ago) it was a $1000 more than the iBook which is why I picked this one out although the extra ...

i love my ibook
by vr64,Mar 30 '04
Pros: small (very portable), sleek design, great interface Cons: none really
i don't really have any complaints about my ibook. the performance is suitable to my needs. i use a lot of applications that take more power such as office, dreamweaver and fireworks and they run fine. i have absolutely no problems with connecting to the internet. i use dsl but i've also used dialup and cable with this notebook. i also use airport and have had no problems with connecting on wireless networks.
it's a beautiful laptop. i often use it in public and receive compliments about it. the greatest thing about it is the 12.1" screen makes it very compact and portable. it's not a hassle at all to take it anywhere with me. the screen also has great resolution to it so i can fit a lot of stuff on the screen even though it may only be 12 inches.
i guess the only thing i could want would be for the laptop to be just as compact but somehow flip open a 17" screen. of course, this is physically impossible so realistically speaking, there is not much more i could ask of my ibook.

Portable and Reliable
by escorander,Sep 28 '05
Pros: Small, Nice Design, And EXTREMELY Reliable Cons: I wish I had a bit more memory, can be sluggish online with airport card
My G3 ibook is getting a bit older and yet it can still keep up with some of the newer ones. I love that I've never had to worry about it's preformance or that it'll crash before an important project is due. It's very sturdy and well built, it took me through high school and survived the abuse of staying in my bag with no trouble. It's always been pretty quick with internet but I have noticed it'll get a little sluggish when using Safari with the airport card.
