Dell Positively THE WORST
To anyone thinking of buying from Dell--DON'T. You will be subjected to the absolute worst customer and technical service known to man. They will lie to you, make ridiculous excuses, tell you how sorry they are, and what they cannot do. You will be disconnected as they pass the call around ten times, talked to like you're an idiot, and otherwise treated like you've purchased some fifty cent item at the dollar store. I purchased a XPS M2010, top of the line (at least according to the price--$3000.00). After two months the keyboard and the mouse, both Bluetooth devices, stopped working. Calling tech support is a nightmare of getting past at least two or three worthless operators, then an hour of waiting to speak to a technician who neither speaks nor understands English, and most importantly doesn't listen. After explaining twenty five times that there was no Bluetooth connection indicated and that there were no indicator lights lit on the keyboard, he finally came up with the revelation that the battery was no good. A new keyboard was sent out and when I opened the package and got it out--there was no battery in it. Going back through the nightmare of contacting them, the next guy actually told me that batteries are not included. Outrageous. The guy had obviously never even seen the computer or keyboard before and thought that this screw in lithium battery module with six detent contacts (for charging when the keyboard when it is attached to the computer)was something I could get at the drugstore. Never being able to make him understand that I didn't need yet another keyboard, but just the battery module I finally convinced him that I wanted to speak to a supervisor--I waited another half hour. I was then assured that the module would be sent out but that no guarantee of overnight delivery was possible. She wanted me to believe that there is NO WAY Dell can ship overnight. To make this long story short, I will tell everyone I come in contact with that Dell is the worst company I have ever dealt with--I will never deal with them again unless I am forced to because of another failure of their hardware. With the quality of the product and the service, perhaps they should think about selling their junk at the dollar stores and drugstores. |
