Wild Blue Satellite

I've been reading all sorts of complaints against Wild Blue Satellite and I have to say, I agree with most everything. Here's my view on the subject.
Ask yourself, What exactly is a FAP? When you are on Cable internet or DLS are you limited to How much Data you can Download? Cable and Dls internet is still coming through a Satellite somewhere So what is the difference?
It's Like with Fuel. Oil companies know consumers will pay for fuel, so they charge what they want and rake in billions of dollars a year . Wild Blue works in about the same fashion.
DSL is available for roughly 2o bucks a month in most places, and there are no Download or upload limits . Honestly, for the most part anyone on a Satellite connection is only on one because they have no options in their area. Wild Blue knows this. If they charge a flat rate for High speed internet they are limited on how much MONEY they make. So why not break it down into packages and charge higher rates for the bigger packages. People in this day and age are addicted to the internet, they'll pay right?

Point is, Wild Blue and their FAP are a bunch of hogwash. I pay them 80 bucks a month for high speed internet and For that I recieve about two weeks out of a month online. Keep watching this thread, I for one am sick of WB and their crap. I will be persueing a Class action Law suit against Wild Blue for their Illegal practices. Anyone wanting to join me in this fight is more than welcome.....

Unfortunately spammers got a hold of that thread (and many other threads in the message boards) and had a lot of fun and it had to be removed.

RE: Wild Blue Satellite

"DSL is available for roughly 2o bucks a month in most places, and there are no Download or upload limits". ( COX CABLE CHARGES EXTRA FOR HIGH USE ). "Honestly, for the most part anyone on a Satellite connection is only on one because they have no options in their area. Wild Blue knows this. If they charge a flat rate for High speed internet they are limited on how much MONEY they make. So why not break it down into packages and charge higher rates for the bigger packages". (THEY DO. READ THE WILDBLUE WEBSITE ).

Sorry, but cable and DSL use line of site relays over mountains and open land for internet traffic due to the need for fast response to remote programs and gaming. Distance over land from LA to New York is approx. 2,900 miles, with a ping time of approx. 20ms. Satellite, no matter who it is will always have a minimum of half of a second (500ms) ping time. That is the distance from position A to satellite, to ground server B, to website ip, then back to server B, up to satellite then down to the start of it all, Position A. Four trips of approx. 22,500 miles or 90,000 total space miles. The speed of light is approx. 186,000 miles a second. You can do the math!

I hope this helps.

FYI, You may want to get your facts straight before you post or you my wind up at the bad end of a lawsuit!
