beachbody fitness

i ordered the beachbody program, then after seeing you weren't getting eveything on the in the tv advertisement, i called, less the 5 mins after i put in my order. the operator told me she would cancel the order. i then got it in the mail and $22.52 taken out of my account. i called to ask how to return it and get my full refund, they said i would only get $14.95. i asked why, she got mad, and after speaking very rudely, hung up on me, forcing me to call and wait on hold for another 10 mins.

Beach Body Fitness Rip Off

I Just wanted to post in here that I called the 1-800 special three easy payments of 29.99 for their product. I called and went through all of their stuff. I received the product and then found that my bank account had been billed 57.13 So I immediatly called to cancel. I was on hold for almost an hour before they hung up on me. So I went online to cancel and found an area to cancel and cancelled my membership and further shipments. After requesting an RMA to get a full refund (less shipping.... of course) I have since been billed twice for 40.24 So in essence they ripped me off for at the very least 77.61 thats if I made the "Three Easy Payments" their customer service would rank a 1 in a scale of 1 to 5. If they are unable to refund the money in an appropriate manner then I will file suit with them in small claims.

RE: Beach Body Fitness Rip Off

I am also getting charged $19.95 a month and never ordered anything past the fitness regimen that I paid for in full up front! Now they don't answer their 800 number. I have sent an email to request these charges stop and a credit for the charges already made. Now I'm seeing many opinions online that they are doing this to other people as well, and I'm afraid they will just keep charging me forever!!??
What is going on here??
Any advice?

One more angry customer

I will never do business with them again. I honestly believe that they commit fraud. I had to cancel my credit card to stop the un-authorized charges.

I am here to help!!

Please anyone with any other problems feel free to email me at messageboards@beachbody.com. My name is Pierre and after reading everyone’s complaints about our company I have personally set out to try and help solve the problems some of you all seem to be having.

I will only have access to this email account, so please I express patience if I have not responded in 24 hours. This also means that you will not have to deal with more than one agent in regards to your account. I am human too and I know how frustrating that can be! Especially when its about your finances!

Beachbody is a wonderful company with a GREAT product; I would love for everyone to want to experience this for themselves without having to worry about anything else but your health and fitness. I pledge to make that happen for everyone.

Beachbody Rip-off

Though I am completely satisfied with the product I have to confirm with other customers regarding beachbody's unscrupulous billing practices. I ordered P90X in the middle of March, taking advantage of their three payments for $39.99. On April 21 my credit card was billed $142.97. I didn't respond then because I figured the operator misunderstood me and charged me for the product outright but then in May I was charged $79.99. The total charges for the product come out to around $223.00 which is nearly $100 more than what I agreed to pay. To add gross insult to injury I received a notice this month, August, that I OWED beach body $79.99 because they were unable to process my credit card for another "monthly" installment, and that if I did not make this payment my account would go to collections. I called the number (which, incidentally, is in New York while Beachbody lists its business office in Beverly Hills) and the woman on the line said that the entire P90X program came out to $230.00 "with shipping and handling." This, of course, doesn't make sense. I told her how it was clear I was way overcharged and there was a serious mistake but she said I had to fax over my credit card statements. Fortunately my girlfriend did some online hunting and found a beachbody.com payment center in California and is almost certain this company in New York is a fraud. We're in the midst of figuring this out but in the meantime...Beware.

RE: Beachbody Rip-off

I buy all my Beachbody products from www.extremely-fit.com. They sell the same products for less shipping and they do NOT rip you off.

I have purchased several programs and other things from the site and have nothing but very positives things to say about them. I like Beachbody's programs but do NOT like dealing with them. This works for me.

Just a suggestion. I am in no way affiliated with the site I mentioned.

Patty

RE: Beachbody Rip-off

I'd like to amend my previous post and give readers an update. Since my post I was contacted by Pierre from Beachbody (who has posted above to help any customer who has had similiar difficulties) about my complaints. After a few emails he was able to clarify the billing issues I had. It seems I agreed, after being prompted by the operator, for an additional $39.95 on top of the original order for the DVDs to get the additional chin-up bar, resistance bands, and recovery drink. Pierre forwarded me an audio file and while it was clear that I agreed to the additonal costs it is also clear that it wasn't clear that it would be three payments of $39.95 but only one more payment attached to the three I was already paying for the DVD. But they were in the rights. Pierre was extremely helpful and I recommend customers with similiar issues contact him with any of their issues. All in all the entire system cost me close to $304.00. So beware when they push the extras that and extra $39.95 on top of your first payment of the DVD, shipping and handling, and taxes. $143.00 was charged for my first installment and $79.99 thereafter. Ditto other comments about perhaps buying the product from another retailer or online somewhere other than beachbody. It's clear that a good portion of their sales come from their hard sell of these extras.

BeachBody:............

I agree I did not like the way the operator continued to push items, and read from her script. I did not like the optional "Free whatever then 39.95 billed monthly after that", i did not like that they wanted me to join their community for 39.95 billed every 3 months, and they assigned me a coach that makes money off my purchases. I do not like how tony "Like a robot" speaks of "Now is a perfect time for that Recovery drink, I highly recommend it!" in every work out like a commercial popping up for popcorn at the movies, right in the middle of the hot sex scene.

I did not like the price of the supplements.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot argue with the results, and I can honestly say, If you listened to the operator read the script, you could hear the Options, the additional charges, the ADD ons, the bands, the supplements, the pull up bar, and if you didn't say NO, then its your fault!, if you didn't cancel the trial within 30 days, then its YOUR fault, not theirs.

Like I said, there is many areas of complaint with this company, BUT I cannot complain about the work outs, the results, and how fun it is to do the program.
How much is your health worth? I can do things now that I could not do before, and i owe it to the only 2 weeks i have been on the program, that's right 2 weeks!!! i still have 10 weeks to go.

Im sorry but if you got haggled into buying this or adding on that then like i said before, ITS YOUR OWN FAULT, don't sit there and complain about it, sitter there is only making you a$$ fatter.

Beachbody

Wow..I have been affiliated with Beachbody since Feb of 2007...I would agree that they could use a little help in the billing department but all in all I think they are a decent company offering real change for the committed. I have had some billing issues but I think it is most likley due to a new company with growing pains rather than some shady business practices as others state.
