Clearpointdirect.com 7 weeks and counting

I ordered cookbooks from ClearpointDirect.com on August 8 (a friend had seen their ad in the local Sunday paper). It's been 7 weeks and the order has not been shipped! ClearpointDirect charged my credit card the same day I placed the order and sent me an order confirmation email. That's the last I heard from them until I called them, 5 weeks after placing the order. I was told that they closed for inventory for the entire month of August (first I'd heard of it)and they would be shipping my order that week. Now, 2 weeks after that promise, I still haven't received my order, a shipping confirmation, or a response to my email. My husband called them today, and they said the cookbooks were in the warehouse and would be shipped this week. Didn't they say that 2 weeks ago?
Very poor company. Makes excuses, poor communication, doesn't respond to emails, doesn't keep shipping promises, and so far hasn't delivered.
