Cellz4less Buyers Beware
Buyers beware a company called Cellz4less that sells on E-bay. This company sold me a motorola cell phone for $248.00 which they never delivered. It took me almost half a year to get through to a representative on the phone. Normally, when calling I received an answering machine with no option to leave a message. The company refused to work my dispute via e-mail, and stalled me with re-assurances until I was outside a formal claim window.
Additionally, this company issued me a bogus Track & Confirm saying my product was shipped to me. Instead of shipping to me, the product had actually been shipped to their address in California. I am not sure if this was some way to create an illusion of delivery to Pay Pal or what.
If anybody knows a way I can resolve this issue let me know. It has not been a year yet since the original purchase, but I am outside the formal complaint window for Pay Pal or E-Bay.
Thanks for any help offered. |

RE: Cellz4less Buyers Beware
I add further caution. They are advertising phones on ebay as brand new ("manufacture sealed"), charging $18.00 for FedEx ground service. The phone that I received was repackaged. It had very conspicuous scratches on the front and inside of the unit, the cover for its charging port was missing, and the charger was made by a third party. They have not responded to emails that I have sent.
My guess is that they are trying to get away with whatever they can. They know that most of the people who are buying an unlocked phone need the phone to replace a lost phone and can't afford to go without a phone during the return/ exchange/mediation process. (Ebay requires buyers to wait 10 days after the sale to begin the dispute resolution process.) |

RE: Cellz4less Buyers Beware
I ordered a phone from cellz4less which was supposed to be brand new. It took over two weeks for the phone to arrive. It had scratches on the front and inside screens. It was in terrible condition. I did get a refund, but I was out $21 in shipping. They were not easy to deal with. I would never order anything from this company again. I ended up buying a go phone to replace my damaged phone. |

I just received my phone today...I paid $275.00 for what was suppose to be a "BRAND NEW" phone...It was hardly new! It had scratches all over the front screen, no manual and the lights on the inside keyboard didn't light up! I called and talked to someone about it and they were suppose to send me an email with return instructions but never did. I am going to continue to yell and scream until I get my money back. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! |

Cellz....
I bought a "new" phone from them. It took 3 weeks to deliver- I too was given a fake tracking number. After 2 weeks it stopped charging, so I sent it back, after threathening a lawyer, they agreed to send me a new phone. Got it and guess what, not new. There was dirt all in the keys. So my husband called them again, they said the dirt must have come from the box. Then he called our lawyer. I will keep you posted on how it works out. |

Cells4Less buyers beware
I purchased a supposedly new Motorola phone from Cells4Less on Ebay and 17 days later when I gave the phone to my daughter discovered it didn't work. Kept shutting off, screen going blank in the middle of text messaging and the only way to get it back was to turn the phone off and then back on. It also quit charging on the second day. I had a square trade warranty but they said it was no good as the phone didn't work properly out of the box. I contacted the seller, Cells4Less and the reply was they only warranty products for 14 days although this is not stated anywhere on their Ebay listing which I have a copy of. I then filed a claim through paypal and was granted a chargeback. Two weeks later and I receive a bill from a collection agency for the same phone for twice what I paid for the phone. I contacted my credit card and the refund hasn't been issued to them so this is also a double billing. Motorola will not honor any kind of a warranty although all of their phones are supposed to have a one year warranty this one doesn't as it was made for sale in China according to their computer records. Beware of anything this company has to sell! By the way any of you who wish to file a complaint or contact an attorney their address is Cells4Less 3418 Wesley St. Culver City, CA 90232 and their phone is (310)839-1818 although this information is not listed on any of their Ebay information. |

Buyer beware
Your situation sounds similar to mine. I bought a GPS (Tomtom GO510) online from Red Tag Savings. It was suppose to be a new unit and the receipt reflects that it was new. When I sent the UPC code from the box to Tomtom for a rebate ($100) I was told it was a refurbished unit. Of course it took over 3 months of going back and forth with Red Tag and Tomtom - but I have it in writting from Tomtom that it is 'refurbished'. I too now have a unit that doesn't work and Red Tag is so unprofessional and haven't even attempted to rectify the problem. I finally spoke to their 'manager' and he said they didn't keep track of serial numbers - so how would he know that I purchased it from them. I have taken my complaint to the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Affairs. I'm sure I'm not the only person they cheated. |

RE: Cellz4less Buyers Beware
I would contact Better Business and Consumer Affairs. Also if you lodge a complaint with the FCC (that's right) they will keep track of all complaints against this vendor and if a pattern is determined - it will be investigated. Not that it helps you - but it might keep someone else from going through what you are. |

RE: Cellz4less Buyers Beware
I placed an order last week, and have been told that there was a software issue with the unlocking of the phone. and they are waiting for it to come in. But have always followed up with offering a refund if i so choose. Have any of you posted negative feedback for them? the feedback they have is pretty positive. Also, i dont see anyone has returned to post more about their experience. I certainly plan on coming back to update you. |

RE: Cellz4less Buyers Beware
I have still yet to get the phone. i filed a dispute last week Friday. They countered, apologizing and stating that they would be sending out the phone overnight. I responded to that when the phone did not arrive and i was left with only a bogus tracking number. I have yet to get a response. I dont know too much about paypal/ebay. But the guys at my shop do, and i guess i am doing everything i can. I assume they will just wait until whenever before the transaction is automatically reversed.
At this time, i dont want to push harder to get this phone. I am certainly not knowledgeable to deal with the potential of receiving an empty box or something. ill keep you posted. |

RE: Cellz4less Buyers Beware
I too recently purchased an item from Cellz4less. I wish I had seen this message board first! I purchased a Sony Ericsson K800i cell phone for $202.00. The seller said they would be shipping within 3 days via Priority Mail. They sent me a message 3 days later that they had shipped the item. Finally, 18 days later, I received the phone. I had emailed them with concerns about how long the shipping was taking and they would always give me the run around. It wasn't until I started complaining that they even responded to emails. After I received the phone they offered to refund the shipping price if I would promise to leave them positive feedback. I wrote back saying that I couldn't in good faith leave positive and would be leaving neutral feedback (as the phone I received was new and was working well). They got quite rude in their responses but then offered to send me a second phone for free if I would leave positive. I still did not accept and left neutral feedback. They posted a reply to my feedback stating that I had asked for money in exchange for leaving positive! An outright lie. Then, I receive a message from ebay that Cellz4less marked the item as unpaid. I received an unpaid item strike against my account that was thankfully removed when I sent proof of payment to ebay. I am worried that I have not heard the end of this from them. As for their high positive feedback score on ebay, I believe most of it was people worried about posting neutral or negative because they would definitally have retaliated. Since the changes in feedback on ebay, their score has dropped almost 3 points and is still going down. Beware of this company! |

Cellz4Less
I received my phone from them in just a few days and it did appear brand new, but when we put in the SIM card, it said to contact our service provider. I couldn't get them to respond to email either. After paying and receiving the phone, I get an email from Ebay telling me they are not letting this seller operate any longer and couldn't give me a reason and suggested I not pay.....duh a little late on that one. Although they did provide me with the phone number, isn't there another way to check these companies out aside from this forum since Ebay is supposed to have "our backs" when it comes to this stuff? I went through ALL the feedback, and didn't think it bad, why isn't there something in place with Ebay if people like us are having these issues? This was my first bad experience with Ebay on this, and I will be filing my dispute with both them and PayPal. |

cells4less problems
I wish I had read these posts! I received a Motorola phone guaranteed to be in mint condition. When it arrived, the cover was loose, the charger didn't work, and the "original user's manual" was a print out. The "free gift" didn't exist either. No response to my emails. I too got only a vague answering machine. Very frustrating. |

Cellz4Less - EBay
Yeah, they appear to have gotten me too. I bought a Samsung SGH-t509 and two days later got an email from EBay that the posting had been pulled. I have a tracking number but it just says that the USPS was "notified to expect the item" and no updates after that for a week now. I opened a dispute with PayPal but they responded they couldn't refund because the itme had already shipped. We'll see what happens. |

Cellz4less beware name change
BEWARE !!!!!!! Cellz4less (Mycellz4less)is still up to its old practice of scamming buyers out of good money for poor products that do not meet stated descriptions. Cellz4less also has a practice of filing retaliation claims with ebay for unpaid items (after knowingly receiving payment) freezing your accounts (Paypal and eBay) when a dispute with Paypal is filed. Cellz4less will not ship until payment is received so the claims of unpaid items are simply lies. NOW UNDER the NAME of MYCELLZ4LESS. At the same address and same never answered phone number just a slightly (very creative, lol) new name. These guys cost me over 300 dollars and WARNING!!! both ebay and paypal did nothing to protect me. PayPal actually, through the dispute resolution center, came up with the solution of ME paying to have the items shipped back to cellz4less. Then receive only a portion of my money in return. Allowing cellz4less to keep a portion of my money and leaving me with nothing, no product, no full refund, just the joy of using Paypal and being ripped off by cellz4less.
Remember when doing business with large companies that use each other to make money, YOU are small and even your hard earned 500 dollars are insignificant to them when compared to the 50K they will do with that business that month/year. PayPal is part of Ebay so they both make money off the sellers who sell tons, you are small beans compared to (MY)cellz4less. Protect yourself and report them to the BBB in their place of operation!

Check this eBay review as well. This is very typical of the seller Cellz4less/Mycellz4less:
