As many of you may have saw I tried to put this on the general epinions board, but got the thread locked... apparently not a good fit there. I thought I would try again here, after asking permission ;0)

Looking through member profiles, I have noticed that there are many members with children on the spectrum or who's child may have other disabilities. After the news about Michael Savage's statements I just wondered how any other parents were feeling.

I have a son with Asperger's syndrome and severe ADHD, and I would love to talk about this subject with anyone else who might like to do so... I know that epinions in itself, is sometimes a support system on my worst days...

Savage should be shot.

His comments enraged me, clearly he has no clue and is just taking out of his @ss.

Bottomline is though - talk about all the publicity this guy has gotten over it. I can't happen to wonder if it wasn't a publicity/media stunt for attention. So I will ignore him and hope that he never has to deal personally with a child with Autism because he couldn't be so blessed to have the gift of a special angel in his life.
