It seems I need a little direction in writing reviews. I have written reviews that have gotten Helpful, and ones that have gotten somewhat helpful.

I came upon this site a long time ago and used to judge what I should buy, put on my registries and so on. Now that I had time I thought I would give back and help someone else. Sure the extra few dollars would be nice but I don't have the time to write reviews other than for fun.

To be honest, I loved that my first ones got comments but now they are getting reviewed and no comments.

How can I improve my reviews?

Number one good for you asking for help... There are tons of people here willing to help out.

The very first thing I usually tell new people is to take a little bit of time to read through some reviews that are considered Very Helpful. The best place to look is in the member center you will find a listing of Top Reviewers. They are selected for a reason.

Just as my own personal outline/style I like to include how I came about getting the item, what the item is (a good enough description so that someone who has never heard of it before can get a good idea but it doesn't have to be an itemized listing of details either) and then our experience with it.
