RE: What's in your backyard?

Here's my Love it/Hate it!!!

Love it & we are officially "full" LOL.. ok, I'm sure I could make room for more but it already looks like I am running a daycare!!!

Variety Climber with Swingset
Turtle Sandbox
Waterwheel Playtable
Barbie Playhouse
Basketball hoop
Grow with Me Picnic Table
Castle Slide (but I will get rid of this after this season since its more for toddlers)

Hated it:
Gazebo Playhouse (got rid of it.. too small)
Sand & Water table - what a big mess!

Eh... just OK:
Kangaroo Climber (gave it to a friend)
Castle Playhouse (gave to my son's school)

RE: What's in your backyard?

You'd like what I've got in the backyard, MT. It's a huge tent in the form of a pink castle featuring Hello Kitty.

RE: What's in your backyard?

The MOST ridiculous item in my backyard, is the 20' x 22' sandbox! The swing set (Costco playset) sits inside the sandbox, and the boy and his friends play for hours!

bikes
wagon
art easel
sand toys
bubble toys
slip 'n slide and a multitude of water toys

I actually like most of them, except the sand. It's lots of fun, and the kids love it. The sand does get in the house, but what the heck...

RE: What's in your backyard?

Not much so far... but we're gaining a collection.

Front Yard
Radio Flyer Wagon
Stroller
Ride-ons
plastic lawn mower
Pool (cheap plastic)
Bubbles
Chalk

Back Yard
Pooh Sand box (little tikes)

Misc
We have a little tikes cube slide that needs to be moved outside

Little Man loves them all - well maybe not so much the wagon. He especially loves thesand box and te pool so far. The cube has been in the house long enough it's just another toy. The rest are "new" at least in the eyes of a toddler.

None are reviewed yet. Many of the pieces are not in the database. Some are old enough (7-8years) I can't even find them to SAP. And others have a gazillion reviews already.

Re:

My kid is only 18 months, so it's not a whole lot so far...got a snap-set kiddie pool, a ride-around car that he can dismantle the engine, a ride-on tractor, a wagon, a big blue ball, and his favorite, a dog kennel with three inhabitants :P

RE: What's in your backyard?

This just proves my anal-ness ;)

I have a huge yard ... and in the yard there's not much ;)

Oh there's one of those metal type swing sets the previous owners put in with an assortment of swings.

We have a huge back yard and it's private, etc, *but* it's not level. It was great to let Colin go out and play, but now Miss H wants to do everything he does, but she CANNOT walk on the grass well. And there's a small hill and I am pregnant and tired of holding her ;)

Plus we are currently "redoing" the grass ... it's a mess from previous owner, so once a month a service comes and treats all the grass to get rid of weeds and all not supposed to be there (like moss) with some lye stuff ... so I don't want to go on it - even though it's safe. lol

We do have a big dog pen out there for the puppies ;)

On the back deck though we have a ton - bubbles, toys, Little Tikes playhouse (yes I reviewed), riders, you name it. But in keeping with my anal-ness I store most of it in the shed and pull it out for the kids to use ;)

In my Backyard?

With the job, the kids and the house taking up most of our time, it's no wonder we don't know what's going on in the next block!

And who has the time to search for entertainment, sightseeing, transportation, lodging and "The Do's and Don'ts" for all the places you could visit in North America?

That's why I use MetroFYI.com to see what's going on before I take a trip or look through the paper for things to do.

BIG time saver

...

We invested this year for the backyard. We got a package from Little Tikes website (which I reviewed) which included the Endless Adventure Variety Climber and Swing Extention, the Tikes Town Playhouse, the Fold 'n Store Picnic Table and the Endless Adventures Sand & Water Table.

I love the playhouse and my son is playing with that quite a bit, the picnic table is huge, but not used much so far. I just put the sand in the water table 2 days ago and its already a huge mess (I hate, boy loves it), the variety climber is okay, but my boy really loves the new Fisher Price Toddler swing we got to put on the swing extention.

We have a decent sized pool we put in, trying to figure out how to keep the water clean so our water bill doesn't skyrocket.

I am soo jealous.

We didn't buy anything new this year other than a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse sprinkler ;)

I refused to buy anything with sand, and we have an old swingset but I'd love one of those redwood gyms ... I lost that battle though :) lol.

I think that will be my new stance after this summer. We bought 2 bags for the sand asn water table but my son has thrown or dug half of it out so far (and he hasn't had it for more than a week). I've already made the stance, that onces its gone, its gone...

RE: ...

yep! We had a sand and water table and I got rid of it pretty quickly - too much mess too close to each other. We have a separate water table that the kids love and believe it or not a hand me down Turtle Sandbox that belonged to my now 19 year old little brother when he was like 2 LOL!!

We don't have much of a backyard but my kids have a sand and water table. I wanted to review it but there isn't a review link for it. They love it!

Yeah!!

We have a new "park" in our backyard! A few weeks ago, my sister was needing to get rid of their Swing n Slide set due to a move and offered it to us. Now my son thinks he has his own park in his yard... and really it's pretty close to it. No more having to walk down the street to play!
