Destin, FL

I'm going to Destin for the first time during Spring Break. I don't know what the weather is usually like around that time? Very hot, moderate, rainy?? Are there any great attractions or restaurants that we should see while we're there?

You know, they were hard to find, but there are actually eight or nine reviews on Destin to give you some ideas of things to do.

I know that Panama City can be very rainy and somewhat chilly during Spring Break, or also quite warm. My husband went four times and it ranged from 60 and rainy to seventies or low eighties and sunny! Destin would be similar, so I'll cross my fingers for you :).

Destin is a beautiful Florida spot! I wish I went there more often for pleasure rather than work!!
Depending on where you are coming from, it may seem quite warm to you, but the temp is usually around the mid 70s that time of year. As long as it's sunny, you should be able to spend some good times on the beach (one of the most beautiful I have ever seen, in fact). It should be mostly sunny, as the rainy season in FL doesn't get started till around May or so, so you should be good to go- can't wait to read your review when you get back!

I hope your Spring break isn't within the next week. Right now, we are having some very cold weather. Teens to mid 20's in the evenings, days have been about 55-60.
Attractions...there are several in the area. Destin is a great destination

Hope you enjoy your visit.

RE: Personal Chef? Has anyone ever tried this lady?

Hi all,
planning a trip down to Destin this coming month.

I had some friends who were down there and had a personal chef for the weekend. They said she came and prepared food instead of going out to eat.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone has ever tried this lady? (www.chefjamiedietrich.com) I think we might be interested in using her since it's easier with kids, but I would like to hear more about someone else's experience with her if anyone has used her.

Bill
