RE: Memory foam too hot?

I heard that memory foam mattresses get hot also, but I purchased a bamboo memory foam mattress from overnightmattress.com and haven't had that problem. It seems like there are other layers of foam between the memory foam and my body so that probably helps. I've been really happy so if you're looking for a foam mattress I'd suggest checking them out. Good luck!

About your bamboo bed...

How do you like it so far? I saw your posting was in March. Any sagging? Any heat? I am trying to find the perfect bed. My Husband is a very hot sleeper, so the temperpedic is out, I just spent $$$$ on a mattress from Simmons ony 2 ears ago and there is a ridge in the middle and giant holes where our butts go! And I am only 110lbs!

I am overwhelemed! How is your overnight.com bed?

RE: I got an AirRest 7500 airbed instead...

Do you still like your AirRest 7500 by restonclouds.com as we are thinking of geting one but were wondering if the foam in this model caused you to overheat in the summer? How does it compare to a sleep by number?

Use Cotton Sheets

If you use cotton sheets, the topper will stay cooler.

RE: Memory foam too hot?

I have a Serta latex foam mattress. It was about $1500 for a California King about 2 years ago. It is extremely comfortable. It has a pillow-like cover. HOWEVER, I am in full-blown menopause and the hot flashes and night sweats are killing me! I wake up during the night and my bed is so hot I feel like I'm sleeping on a heating pad on high. I have 400 thread count sheets, which are cool when they're NOT on the HOT mattress.

Does anybody know of anything you can use to keep the mattress cool? I put an extra mattress pad on my side but it doesn't help. I live in northern Minnesota so I'll probably appreciate the heat in the winter but for now, it's horrible! When hubby gets up in the morning to go to work, I roll onto his cool side of the bed so I can catch an extra 1/2 hour of shut-eye without cooking!
