XM Radio support hahahahah

I bought an 08 HHR in Sept. that included a three month free trial of XM Radio. Since I live where radio service is almost non-existent I was enjoying this service. Until I tried to create an account on line for monthly service. XM Radio's web site may offer you the choice of a monthly service however what they do not inform you is that on their web site it is not technically set up to accept that type of account.
The following day I checked my bank and found that XM Radio had charged my debit account a quarterly billing of $36.76 not $12.95 for monthly service and my service had been disconnected.
Further calls to XM Radio - as in five days worth. On day five I did manage to make it clear what my correct email addy was(this after giving it to them over 10 times with 10 different support people). After five days I also managed to get a refund for the incorrect amount billed - and after five days, two and a half hours of my car running at $3.48 a gallon for gas I also managed to finally update my radio so it now works.
Would I recommend XM Radio - well the Radio it self works great - support from XM Radio gets a big fat F or 0 for a score of customer service support. If it were not for me not being able to receive any other radio signals where I live I would have told XM Radio to take their service and keep it.
I hope for all who are thinking of subscribing to XM Radio please remember that if you want customer support from people who actually listen and not interrupt don't count on it. If you want customer service from XM Radio that is prompt - don't count on it. In other words customer service to XM radio means you the customer mean nothing to them except another number in the system.

RE: XM Radio support hahahahah

I have xm in one of my cars and love it, but I have never had to deal with their CS. I have heard this for years about them though. This is the state of CS in this country. Living in a college town I can tell you that businesses in that part of town can treat patrons any way they want because there is always a new 1st time customer around the corner. No matter how unbelieveably terrible, Sony, Samsung, XM, ATT, etc etc etc is with their customers who actually need help, americans continue to voraciously buy their products, so ultimately, they have no real impetus to do any better.

bummer, but fact.
