Just set up my D-VR4SU DVD/VCR unit. It plays both tapes and DVDs fine. However, I can not dub from eith the VCR or DVD. Once I get past the option of Press DVD then Rec. Mode/Speed then VCR it stops responging when I press Dubbing.

Any suggestions?

I'm using Memorex 16X DVD+R Discs. The combo unit is connected to TV using AV plugins on front of the D-VR4SU and video cable from back of unit to back of TV. I've assumed that meant using L1 when dubbing, but I tried both ways, even CH3. So far, nothing.

Any help appreciated.

I'm not very familiar with the specific equipment you have, so I suppose I would turn you to their website, or their support hotline. Did you give that a try?
