Moving reviews

I can't say what prompted the move review feature that is now available to us, but I was vertical rating the reviews for London, which has well over 300 posted, and was becoming so irritated that many were what I considered off topic. Many of them were focussed on single attractions that had product pages of their own. One for Oxford was blatantly misposted.

I eventually got to the point where I started sending feedback to Epi HQ requesting each one to be moved when I found the appropriate product page for them. As you can imagine, there were quite a few on hotels and such that London was being used as a catch-all for. Personally, I don't see how this benefits Epinions, the writer, or browsers. Income is lost for Epinions and no browsers are going to wade through over 300 reviews to find the only one Epinions has on the Waverly Hotel under the city of London. The writer is also going to get more IS for having the only review on the Waverly Hotel than being one of over 300 on the London page.

After sending 2-3 dozen of these move requests to Epi HQ, I notice they added the move feature. Don't know if I had anything to do with it, but I might have.

I do wish some of the "oldtimers" would move more reviews. I started going vertical rating Chicago and found it was even worse there.

Ha - Even I'm starting to feel like one, even though I know I'm not.
