It's a good idea

I basically took three years off due to disability (kidney disease) before I got married, and it worked for me. It gives you an opportunity to sit down and think about what you want to do.
I also think that too many times, those of us with degrees are seen as wanting the credential in order to get on the fast career track. I didn't. I wanted the education - not necessarily a job, not necessarily an MRS degree (although I'm sure that there are women out there that are still going out there and getting an education in how to get an MRS degree), but an education. And especially if you are majoring in something like women's studies, this is a nearly impossible task what with all the professors who like to sell their beliefs to their students under the guise of educating them.
