I LOVE to stop at Barnes & Noble when I am out shopping so when I was out of town and needed to pick up a couple of books, I went right to their their online store!
That was about 10 months ago and I am happy to say that after 4 purchases, I STILL go right to there online site when I need a book!
Since all of my orders have been without a problem, and they have this great deal going on, I felt it was time to write a review praising Barnes & Noble.com!
MY LATEST EXPERIENCE
I was actually drawn back to Barnes & Noble.com because I needed a couple more stocking stuffers. My kids really like those mini kits and they were out of two that I needed at their store. I was VERY pleased to find that they were having a 40% off sale and many of their mini kits were included!
Top this off with their FREE shipping on all others of two or more items and they had made another sale! Well to be honest, two more as after ordering the first, I went back two days later and placed another one!
Both orders went smoothly, I was emailed with my confirmation and they both arrived on time. No complaints here!
SHOPPING AND CHECKING OUT
Shopping is easy at Barnes & Noble,com, you can SEARCH by title, author or keyword or just choose to browse the different departments.
All the items are listed by Top Matches but you can change that to Best Selling, Publication Date or by Title which go in order from A-Z.
If you want more information on an item, you can simply click on the title. This will bring you to a page that will give you more information often including a note from the publisher telling about the item and if you are lucky, a review or two from someone who owns it.
Once you see an item you want, you just click the add to cart and continue shopping.
When you are ready to checkout you are first asked if you are a returning customer or not. If you are, you just put in your email address and password and all your information is brought up.
If you are a new customer you will be asked all the regular information and then a password.
After the order goes through, a confirmation page comes up ~~ you will also get this information in an email.
SHIPPING, HANDLING AND TAXES
Right now they are running the FREE shipping special with the purchase of any two items.
If this was not on the least expensive shipping method would be STANDARD GROUND which cost $3.00 per ORDER plus .99 cents per ITEM. In other words an order of 4 items would be $3.00 plus .99 x 4 or $6.96. STANDARD GROUND is the only method I have used and all of my orders have arrived in the stated 5-11 days. The FREE shipping special is sent STANDARD GROUND.
If you need it sooner, there are 3 others methods you can choose, with the fastest being NEXT DAY AIR. It costs $11.99 per ORDER plus $2.99 cents per ITEM. This would make the same order of 4 items have a shipping cost of $23.99! A good case for ordering early!
Sales tax is added on for orders shipped to the following states: Nevada, New Jersey, New York and Tennessee. This was a pleasant surprise to me to find there was no tax added to Washington orders.

** They sell Email Gift Certificates which are sent out right away ~ a great idea for a "need right away" gift!

I have ordered from Barnes & Noble.com multiple times and have NEVER had a single problem! Therefore, I would recommend Barnes & Noble.com to anyone looking for a book, calendar, video, CD or textbook.
As always I would also suggest you look at multiple sites to assure you are getting the best deal.
Right now, the FREE shipping is a BIG draw and if you can find something you want at the 40% off sale, it's an even sweeter deal!
