Worst on line experience ever

I received a gift certificate to b&n. Never used it before, I've used Amazon exclusivly in the past because of a problem several years ago. Received a gift certificate and purchased a dvd. Received a confirmation letter and I went the next day to check to see if it has been shipped. The web page was down and has been down for the last 3 days. Finally contacted customer service who adived that order had not been shipped. I cancelled and then decided to re order. Received my confirmation order via phone. Have received confirmation e-mail yet. I have no idea if it has been shipped. I also upgraded my delivery so that I could use up the certificate faster and be rid of them. So I still don't know the status of the item or anything else. I don't know if my problems are a fluke or if other people have had the same issues. I will go back to Amazon, where I have been fortunate.
