I love Amazon.com for one thing...DEALS! If you watch, you can find great deals!! But, at the same time, watch out for the s/h charges, they can kill you...and the shipping time. I found several computer programs on sale for $10 with a full rebate. I passed the word onto my mom and as soon as I ordered, I helped her place her order. My mom received her shipments several WEEKS before I received mine, and my shipping dates kept changing, to the point that my last shipment was going to arrive AFTER the deadline to have the rebate in the mail. So after several weeks of waiting, I attempted to cancel the remaining part of the shipment, but the site was having "difficulties that were being corrected and to try again later." I tried for days and then e-mailed customer support. They continued sending me e-mails telling me I could cancel the shipment through my account (obviously they did not fully read my e-mail telling them that their server would not let me cancel the order due to the site's problems). I attempted twice more to again explain the problem and that no one was reading the details of my situation when finally someone read the full e-mail (8 lines worth) and delete the order manually. I NEVER order through Amazon unless I am getting FREE s/h because their charges are outrageous...but when they have a deal, they sure know how to cut prices!!
