Presidential Elections

The Bottom Line Give us back our vote.
Presidential elections remind me of high school class president elections.
The only difference between presidential elections and high school elections is your high school vote actually has a solid effect on the outcome of the election.
When the vote was first created in this great country, our founding fathers determined the every day person was not enough informed or educated to make an intelligent decision on who to elect as president.
The electoral college was created to work in parallel with the common vote of the general public. Give the public the opportunity to participate in a presidential election but leave the "real" decision making to a panel of pre-approved and selected individuals.
Over time this process has been forgotten by the vast majority of citizens. You often hear a common phrase, "If you don't vote, you don't have a right to complain."
Well, that may apply to every election except for the one with the most potential for harm or good; the presidential election.
What makes sense is to get rid of the electoral college, delegates, and super delegates.
Allow the vote for president to be more than an insult to every voter.
