First I would like to state that I was an avid customer of computer geeks, I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars, and when i ran a computer store in town, it would be more like Hundreds of thousands, and only had problems every once in awhile, but after not ordering from them for a year or so, it would seem they have gone completely downhill.
This past september I ordered about $800 dollars worth of merchandies. Right from the bat I had troubles ordering from them, they said something like they need clearance from my bank for the card I used, and after a week of trying to get ahold of the reps, they were able to just charge it anyway without ever talking to me. Next I get the order and they had sent me the cheapo 9400 $40 dollar card instead of the $200 one it said in the invoice. After that I finally get the replacement card i should've gotten, and it didn't even work. Now this is understandable, products always have some defects in the group, but it goes on. Out of the $800 dollars, I might, repeat might, have gotten $200 worth of working merchandise. This is on top of trying for HOURS to get ahold of reps, waisting my time and money, often being transfered to 3 seperate departments with an half to hour wait period in between. I now have 2 differnet memory card readers that dont work, a power supply that is almost dead after 2 weeks, a wireless keyboard and mouse that only work half the time, and has to be 3 inches away from the reciever, not the 3 feet specified, heck even the cd's i ordered were just taped together, no spindle at all.
I could understand if these happend at seperate times, but the only quality working item out of the 15 I ordered is a hard drive, and that accounts for $150 out of the $200 dollars of working merchandise I recieved, and lets just say the other $50 was sub par in quality and only work about $10. While on one of my many missions to get money back, i asked if they had been taken over by another corp. just to see what they would say, the rep then told me they have been making poor decisions in aquiring products that they are selling.
So to recap, 3 years ago - awesome Now - don't risk your money
