The Bottom Line There are so many reasons for you to shop at Amazon.com, but my one underlying reason (in addition to convenience) is that I feel I can trust them.

Recognized as a pioneer in e-commerce, Amazon.com has to be one of the most successful web sites. Actually, I checked it's stock today and it seems to be on the way up. The site itself continues to be easy to navigate even after the addition of multiple stores.
On this site I have purchased numerous gift certificates, books, toys and baby products. I have been please with every order and I'm always surprised at how quickly they arrive (a week of less).
The wonderful thing about Amazon's electronic gift certificates is that they make excellent last minute gifts. Within minutes, someone you have forgotten to send a gift to will know that you remembered them. They they will have the fun of choosing what they would like to "purchase" with their gift certificate.Since there are so many stores to choose from, the recipient can always find something she likes.
I've never experienced a problem with an order or needed to return an item, but instructions and links to these departments as well as the "help department" are clearly displayed at the bottom of the order page. There is also an 800 number listed and an e-mail address for problems with the order.
Amazon's list of stores includes the following:
Auctions, Baby and Baby Registry, Books, Camera and Photo, Cars, Cell Phones and Service, Computers, Computer and Video Games, Corporate Accounts, DVD, Electronics, Gifts and Gift Certificates, Health and Beauty, In Theaters, Kitchen and Housewares, Music, Outdoor Living, Outlet, Software, Tools and Hardware, Toys and Games, Travel,Video, Your Recommendations, Your Store and Z Shops.
The Travel store is new so I followed links to find everything you'll need for your trip:
Travel Books, Audiobooks, Travel E-Books, Camera and Photo, Electronics, Essentials, Travel Gear, Music for Travelers, For Kids, For Baby, Bargain Travel Books and more,Travel Video, Travel DVDs,Travel Computer and Video Games, Camping Accessories, Travel e-Cards and Gift Certificates, as well as links to Expedia.com and Hotwire.com for making your reservations.
Curious, I clicked on For Kids (under Travel) and found:
Travel Toys and Video Games, Audiobooks, Cameras for Kids, Children's Music, Harry Potter Journals, Golden Field Guides,Family Travel Books, Handheld Games, Game Boy Advance,Activity Books, and links to the Baby on the Go Shop.
Following the Baby on the Go links, I found:
Car Seats, Strollers, Diaper Bags, etc., as well as information links related to traveling with babies with
"More to Explore" - with more baby links including baby outlet and baby registry.
Of course the links are "interlinked", but I'm very impressed with the wealth of information and products just under the travel store. Having followed these multi step links I still am please with the ease of navigation on my antique computer!
Oh, yes! At the bottom of every window you'll find lists of areas and products you've recently viewed or ordered.
Well, I started out to write a review on the Amazon.com stores I have previously purchased from and have ended up amazed at the variety of products available. (Compared to, say Walmart.com or Target.com the inventory available on line is astonishing!) Evidently I have missed a lot because I usually just go on the site with something in mind and use the search key to find it. This is very convenient, but following links can be fun also.
The bottom line is, whenever I want to buy something online and need to feel I can trust the site to deliver it promptly, I always choose Amazon.com.
