Pros: Very comfortable for its size, easy to read, and looks more expensive than it is.
Cons: Brown color strap on a black case / black face watch
The Bottom Line: I enjoy this easy to read watch very much. It catches lots of attention.

| reginaldperrin's Full Review: Invicta Force Collection Lefty Chrono Xl Leather #... |
I have owned the super large 52mm Invicta Terra 4538 (aka IN4538) black dial chronograph lefty watch for about 6 months. Other Invicta military style Terra lefty's I own are the 52mm 4539, 46mm 3332 and the 46mm 3392. Please see my individual reviews for all of them.
The Invicta Terra black dial chronograph lefty is a hefty over-sized 52mm mens watch with a dark brown leather strap. The 4538 is the new big brother of long popular 3332 46mm black lefty chronograph. One difference between the new and old besides size and weight is the crystal. Both have a flat crystal, but the crystal of the 4538 has Invicta's new anti-reflection coating which gives a slight steel blue or grey shine when the crystal plays with a bright light source. Even at a distance, the anti-reflection feature sets the 4538 apart from other Invicta lefty's. Another difference between the new and old is the 4538 has a ring of white markers helping to show 24-hour time, while the 3332 has 24-hour numbers without the additional ring of markers. Also, the primary 12-hour numbers on the 4538 have a shiny metal outline, while the 12-hour numbers on the 3332 are a solid white color. In my opinion, the red accents, number outlines, and larger size of the 52mm 4538 lefty makes for a more high end presentation, while the 46mm 3332 lefty, with its matching black leather strap, black face with yellow accents and solid white numbering gives it a more sporty or military appearance. The 4538's brown strap on a black watch slightly weakens the overall look, in my opinion.
Comparing the black faced 52mm Invicta 4538 Terra Lefty with the sand faced 52mm Invicta 4539 Terra Lefty, the high contrast of the white markers and numbers make the 4538 more striking at close distances. The 4538 is easier to read, night and day. While the total look of the 4539 with its sand dial encased inside a totally black ion plated case pops out more from a distance.
I find the Invicta 52mm Terra lefty's to be comfortable, the quartz timekeeping to be accurate, and the leather straps to be solidly built. I find all of the Invictas I own to have average glow-in-the-dark abilities.
