Once there was this great mini series shown on our local public broadcasting station, the show was The Box of Delights, and it was a BBC production. My mom and I watched the whole series and thought it was the greatest. It was never shown again. But my mom was able to copy a friends copy of it. As you can imagine the quality was bad, but we still enjoyed watching the series again around the holidays. It's a holiday type series.
Anyway, a few years went by and I Accidentally taped over the Box of Delights with Home Alone 2. Of all things! Geeze.
Well I've felt bad about it ever since.
So what does this have to do with Amazon.com? Well, recently my mom started looking for another copy of this movie with absolutely no luck. She even tried Amazon.com with no luck.
So I took over the search, hoping there was some way I could redeem myself for Home Alone 2 mistakes. I checked Amazon as well with no luck. Then my eye fell upon a little link of international sites including one in the United Kingdom. So i tried it, and they had the Box of delights. I was so happy, i ordered it right away. Yes the shipping was half as much as the movie cost, but i had the Box of Delights. 2 weeks later it arrived, and the look on my mom's face made me so happy.
I've bought items from Amazon.com before, but now my opinion (or epinion) of them has been enhanced. They have always been a pleasure to do buisness with. Sure, they do make mistakes from time to time. Once our order got mixed up with someone else's, but Amazon fixed it at no charge. For a company as large as they are it's amazing that more mistakes don't happen.
