Barnes & Noble.com has always been one of my favorite online stores. I have been faithfully shopping on their site for about 4-5 years now. I have made many purchases. Every thing for books as Christmas gifts for adults to ones for children. I must be honest and say more often than not, I am shopping for myself! I buy Stephen King books and other horror novels. I am big time in to them and like to get them as soon as they come in.
A while back I wanted a book for my mother by Silvia Brown. That psychic lady. She was dying to get her hands on it so I looked on Barnes & Noble.com for it. It had not arrived and was not in stock at that time. I was able to put a reserve on a copy of it and they emailed me automatically when the book was available for purchasing. I was right on top of it and bought it right away. The books I order always show up with in a few days after I place the order. They are well packaged and always in perfect condition.
To order all you do is choose and/ or search the items that you want. This can be books, DVDs, CD's and some of their own merchandise like a tee shirt. Add what you want to your cart. When you are done shopping and have every thing that you had wanted. Go to your check out, double check to see that every thing went it right. Choose a shipping option which can be standard, priority or express shipping. Then enter your payment information with credit card or electronic check. It is rather simple and walks you through each step so there is no confusion. You can print your receipt from the page when you are done. Or print the receipt they email you afterwards. Also you are emailed when your order ships out.
Some times you may run in to an issue where one book might not be in stock and you still want to order it on your same order as books that are in stock. They will ship the ones that are in stock, notify you of it, and then ship your other book when it does come in and email you of that as well. It costs you no extra for a double shipment like this. So really it is to your benefit if this should happen. It has only happened to me one time and it certainly was not a problem in any means.
On Barnes & Noble.com you can buy books that are horror, children's books, teen books, learning books, self help books, business related books, computer related books and so much more. The options go on and on. They carry pretty much every popular author that is out there, and get new releases daily. So it is always good to go back and look and see if you are interested in any new releases. You never know what good ones have just come in unless you look.
They even carry older books. I liked a few books from when I was a child. I could not find them anywhere, mostly by Mercy Mayor. The Just For You book series. I searched on the site and sure enough they had a few of the old books I wanted. They were great and now my daughter is enjoying them.
You can join their mailing list and be able to get updates and information on books you like, and books by authors that you read. This is a great way to stay on top of what comes in.
They also offer sale priced items and clearance books. I often shop that section for gifts. What better gift than a book. A lot of people like to read and this is certainly the right place to go for books. They have very good prices for both paper back and hard cover. You can even buy a bookmark to go with it if you like. The options are great!
The site is set up nicely and is easy on the eyes. Not too bright like some tend to be. I have had a lot of fun on the Barnes & Noble.com web site. You can even read about the books before you choose to buy them. It is like having the back of the book right in front of you. You get a good idea of what you are buying and if it really interests you, as well as being some thing that you really want to read.
The books I have purchase have all been great. I can't complain about the prices or the shipping. My experiences have all been great and I highly recommend them to all.
