Amazon equals Amazing. When I want to purchase practically anything, the first on-line site I go to is Amazon.com. This site has an unbelievable amount of products: from toys to electronics, to books, to appliances; they even carry non-perishable groceries. For the most part this on-line site beats everyone else's prices, except for the area of groceries. So beware on this category. I have stores in my area that beats their grocery prices. But if one does not like to get out, then having groceries delivered to your home might be the way to go.
What I like best about Amazon.com is their ease of returning merchandise. I have a deaf daughter and this past Christmas I ordered a set of Avonlea (Season 2) DVD's. This particular set was advertised as being subtitled. When I received them, there was no mention of that in the back cover. So I opened them up and played one to make sure it was subtitled before giving it to my daughter. It was not subtitled. I contacted Amazon.com; explained my problem and they sent me out another set immediately and I was able to return the first set at their expense. The second set arrived before Christmas; unfortunately, it was not subtitled either. So I contacted Amazon.com again. Once more they had me send back the DVD set at their expense and then they refunded my money. No problems, no hassle. They sent me an e-mail later apologizing and said that they were experiencing other problems with the subtitles.
Again, I really like this site. I may not always buy from them but it is a good source to price items.
