Pros
Good place to shop online for products. Affordable prices for new and used items. Can pay with check, credit card, or money orders.
Cons
Sometimes you don't get what you order.
Bottom Line
It is good for people who don't use checks, or have credit cards. They can pay with Money Orders. That way the only information given out is your name, post office box, city, town, and zip code. No valuable credit card numbers, or checking account numbers are given out.
When you visit Amazon.com, there is all sorts of categories to look at. There are Books, Music, Movie (DVD & VHS), Clothing & Accessories, Computers & Accessories, Office Stuff, Consumer Electronics, Food (Gourmet, Grocery), Household stuff, Health & Beauty, Home & Garden, Kids Stuff, Toys, Sports & Fitness, Tools & Automotive things.
It is very easy to set up an account at Amazon.com. Start at the home page of Amazon.com, click on start here located to new customer, then insert your email address, pick a password, and your set to go shopping.
You can even make a favorites list for old movies, recent ones, even future movie releases that have your favorite people in them. If you would like to know when a specific movie will be released on DVD, you can have Amazon.com send an notice to your email address when it will be available. The items that I purchased could not be found at certain retail stores, but I was able to find them on Amazon.com. You can even sell your items that you have purchased back on Amazon.com. When you sell items back to Amazon.com, you are required to use a credit card, even if you didn't purchase the product with a credit card.
When you live in a small community that has no place to order movies on VHS or DVD, or CDs, and you can't travel out of town, shopping online at Amazon.com is my personal benefit.
