Pros: Great Food, Great Atmosphere
Cons: They no longer do "supersizing".
The Bottom Line: McDonald's has great food for a great price. You can't get a Burger, Fries and a drink for six-something at Applebee's or the 99 Restaurant.

McDonald's was such a great part of my childhood. The Food was excellent.
Fast forward to today. The thought of McDonald's makes me feel good. I can recall the smiling, talking Chicken Mcnuggets. The quality of the food has changed slightly, and one of their serving sizes has been done away with unfortunately. Still McDonald's is a happy place.
My favorite type of McDonald's are the ones by themselves - not part of a food court, terminal, or concourse. They have parking lots, and chairs and tables inside. I like these types of McDonald's better for a couple of reasons. First is that you can customize your soda to get it just the way you want it. Second is you can get a little paper finger bowl and serve your own ketchup and you can get how many salts and peppers you think you'll need. Third is that I enjoy the food more when I'm eating it at a table, and the fact that I'm eating out and it's a change in scenery from home is a plus. Not that my home is boring, but you get the point.
Sandwiches/Wraps - The beef of the burgers isn't as flavorful as Burger King's burgers. I give them 4 stars out of five. The cheese is excellent. I like that they use yellow american cheese instead of the white stuff. The Double Quarter Pounder with cheese is a personal favorite. It has ketchup, pickles and onions on it also. The flavor of the afforementioned items really comes through when you eat it. The Big N' Tasty has onions, slice of tomato, pickles, mayonaisse, and ketchup. It comes without cheese by default, but you can ask for it. McDonald's made a commercial off the ingredients of the Big Mac, the song was "two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, onions, pickles on a sesame seed bun." The "special sauce" the song is referring to tastes like mayonnaise mixed with ranch dressing. I recommend the Big Mac. The Double Cheeseburger has mustard, ketchup, onions and pickles on it. For Chicken sandwiches/wraps I recommend the Snack Wrap (chicken, lettuce, shredded cheese wrapped in a flour tortilla) and the Spicy Chicken Sandwich.
Chicken McNuggets/Chicken selects - McNuggets were a staple of McDonald's before I was even born. However it's not the same kind of chicken from when I was a kid and the outer coating is different too. The new coating is lighter in color and the lean chicken doesn't taste as good as the regular chicken they used. I also dislike the lighter color. The new chicken McNuggets can't hold a candle to the older ones. The Chicken selects are chicken Tenders with a crispy coating. They're good but I don't order them as often as Chicken McNuggets.
Salads - I recommend the bacon ranch salad. It has carrot bits, tomatoes, shredded cheese, and bacon bits. It's delicious.
You can get a Sandwich with fries and a drink for a very good price compared to the 99 restaurant, hence why McDonald's calls them Extra Value Meals. McDonald's used to give you extra-large fries and an extra-large drink for 40 cents more. That was a real bang for the buck. They called this "Super Sizing" but they caved in to negative media attention from the film "Super Size Me". In the film this guy eats McDonald's 3 times a day for 30 days. Anyone with common sense knows that you don't eat McDonald's every single day. That guy was an idiot. The health food crowd embraced this movie. But because of their pressuring McDonalds, wanting to ban something cuz one guy was an idiot, the rest of us have to suffer. No more super sizing :( It really sucks but I've gotten over it, at least Burger King stuck to their guns and kept their extra large "King" size as they call it. At McDonald's the biggest sizes you can get are large.
Beverages - They serve Coca Cola products. I wish they served Black cherry vanilla coca cola. The Coffee is good but not as good as Starbucks. They use Newman's Own brand. I got a large vanilla iced coffee once. I like that they have vanilla instead of french vanilla.
French Fries - Their French fries are better than Burger King's though Burger King's are very good.
Desserts - I recommend the Oreo mcflurry. It's vanilla Ice cream with mashed up Oreo cookie. The apple pie is also good. It comes in a small box and is rectangular-shaped. There's plenty of cooked apple and cinnamon flavor.
The Service is very good. The Staff are friendly. The orders are taken care of fast. It may take a little longer if you want no pickles or extra onions on your sandwich but not radically longer. True Story - I was in McDonald's right near my mother's house and this guy walked in and ordered 20 double quarter pounders with cheese or something like that.
Interiors/Atmosphere - The insides of many McDonald's were renovated almost 3 years ago and they look amazing. The Atmosphere is great, people are polite to one another.
