I do a lot of shopping on Amazon and find I can save money on most things I would usually buy locally. I save even more if I buy from one of the merchants selling through Amazon. I often choose and buy the used books and usually receive the books very quickly. Lately I started buying software though their merchants and the savings is often enormous, if I take my time looking through the merchants and read their reviews. The only bad experience I had with Amazon was when I ordered a monitor and wanted to change the order a few hours later. They wouldn't let me do because they said it was already on it's way to being shipped.I was actually told(after a long and hard search for a phone number) that they would have to bring everything to a stop at the wharehouse, just for me to change the order. I was frustrated and angry. I didn't use them for a while but eventually when back because the savings are so great. The moral of this story is to be absolutely sure you want to buy the item before completing the order. If you keep that in mind and shop carefully you will save tons of money over the years.
